If the guy is advertising it as an IS200 it must be the Altezza AS200 - which is almost exactly the same as the UK model.
The higher power RS200 has LESS torque at low revs than the IS - although saying that I've not driven the tiptronic and the torque curve is different.
Legacy is Legacy worldwide - subaru don't seem to want to spend the money ad the agencies thinking up new names..... The saloon is known as a B4 but that's about the only difference - aside from the twin scroll turbo.....
Speaking of which:
best Impreza ever?
Tad pricey, though
I'm through A-Plan, paying less than 600 quid a year, 5 years no claims and I'm 27. I've had the car since I was 25, although I was paying 1300 for it then!
I hadn't heard about this one, but that's the second airbus run by a Canadian airline that's had that problem....
With the first one they said that only 1 in 20 pilots were capable of landing it!
Mind you it's now part of most pilot's training.
Not really sure what we can do here - I don't know anyone with the 280T; there are Blitz kits available that do a similar job - have a look at one of our sponsors, TDi if that's any good?
Most reputable importers will only bring in a car that's auction grade 4 or higher (never had a serious accident) and if you're worried about mileage and outstanding finance etc BIMTA will do the equivalent of an HPI check
Well, lets say this - I think my car is the Z edition....
I have an amplifier built into the electrics of the car - like the UK IS SEs and Sports. The "S" has 6 speakers as opposed to 8 (parcel shelf are 2 way) and the amp is built into the head unit.
I'm sure there are other differences but until I get a chance to pore over a car with a different spec to mine I can't tell you what they are!
in day to day driving you won't notice much difference; super makes the car smoother in traffic and down shifts and the economy is slightly better; especially at higher speeds. The car was designed to run on 100 RON but does have 2 knock sensors to retard the ignition if the fuel isn't the right rating. Interestingly I read on a Japanese website something along the lines of "can run on lower grade petrol but the performance will be hit".
The company that brought mine over recommended every other tank be super U.
If you've got the amp you're system'll be the same as an IS200 sport or SE of the same age - you just need to find one of them who's done it! (too much lik hard work for me!)
