  1. Was a no brainer, heard about it, saw it, drove it, loved it, bought it and now cherish it. Very simple - Great cars, terrific service, great club atmosphere with a common feeling to our cars. Lovely to drive, very well equiped. Welcome to the club, assuming you have bought you are making the right decision Andy
  2. My other half fell in love with the Lex when I first took it for a test drive, when we arrived back she said, how long will it take if we order one now? She still loves the car but gets upset sometimes when I'm a little paranoid of people parking so close and hitting my doors.
  3. Moving to the Dark Side after owning a Lexus must be a myth, Surely you would have to be proven clinically insane to make such a move  Andy
  4. Well done mate, Expect you will have a great time out there, I know I did when I lived there. All the best Andy:smilegrin::smilegrin:
  5. Like it a lot, always liked the SC since Lexus here in UK gave me one for a spin earlier in the year but with the new 19" rims and the lowered suspension yours looks really tastey. Nice one Andy
  6. I drive in and around London most days, the most popular tactics are in the evenings when people will drive into the back of your car at lights so beware of this. Also my friend had is IS stolen from his house, people followed him home, waited while he got ready and went out to the local, broke into his house and stole the keys to drive away his Lexus. They are difficult to break into a steal without the keys. So my advice is keep them locked up safe and keep the keys with you + watch out for people who follow you home. Andy
  7. Well they have all the 3M single and double sided products on the main site so hopefully they should be able to get you the right one. Andy
  8. Found a place on the web that may help, they don't have 3M orderable online (or not that I could find with a quick search) but seem to stock all sorts so you could give them a call: http://www.baronbros.co.uk/ Best of luck Andy
  9. Thanks guys, I'll give the guys at Demon a call, hopefully this will save my baby from having a flat battery when I return from abroad. I had looked at the bike ones before but they hadn't enough grunt to deal with the battery power requirements of the IS. Nice one Andy
  10. Since I travel a lot, My IS spends times indoors waiting for me to return. Does anyone know of a good battery conditioner that can be used to keep the battery in tip-top condition while I'm off abroad?? Andy
  11. Is the owner one of our members, the front end's a real mess - What did he hit ??? But for a track car - now there's potential Andy
  12. Used to live there, still have many friends why ? Andy
  13. Yep Google for me too after seeing a Team Lexus sticker on the back of an IS one day. Glad to have found it. Andy:cool:
  14. Phil, The IS300 looks nice, would like to see a pic with the new Chromes on, also what size have you opted for, I guess they are 19" but what width and tyres are you having - interested in looking for mine too. Thanx Andy
  15. Mine does the same but only when I'm in the slow lane, I hate being there though cause of the stones that fly up from the trucks. Can't have the paintwork damaged so have to drive a little faster in one of the other lanes.
  16. Checkout the main Lexus GB site at http://www.lexus.co.uk/ Follow the links for the IS and click on the Accessories section. Andy :smilegrin::smilegrin::smilegrin:
  17. The Sports Mesh Grille is available from your local dealer, they can get it in the color coded to your car as Rich states and will fit it for you. Give them a call, they look great afterwards. Andy P.S. Welcome to the LOC
  18. Put aside the future plans for the Porsche if the IS430 is on the cards I'm there. That would put a serious smile on my face and really meets the statement "The Fast and the Luxurious" Andy
  19. Love the enjoyment I get from driving it and the heads that turn as you pass people in the car. Also the questions people ask like: "Wow that looks like it's on steroids, I'd love one of those" Andy :bounce:
  20. Count me in, I'll be there Andy :smilegrin:
  21. You're right I'd agree with that, the 3- series drivers seem to be really jelous of our Lexus's. Most of them are company cars so they only have the entry model and none of the options. Maybe they will grow up and get a decent model soon. I also agree though that the other Lexus drivers on the road have a good rapor with each other, I've never had any problem's with them, it's nice to see them. Andy :bounce:
  22. Thanks Shols, I'd like to get the conversion for my IS to use the DVD Rom's from the new IS rather than the current VCD version, I'm talking to my dealer but they see no conversion route at present. The advantage is that they tell me the new DVD version covers all of Europe on the sat nav which would be great as opposed to changing ROM's when travelling, plus the content is much better. Of course I'd also like to get the DVD to be used for driving movies at the same time. Are you guys thinking of driving the movies via the front built-in screen - that would be really cool. Andy :bounce::bounce:
  23. Definitely 19', they look fantastic and are a real crowd pleaser
