  1. lol. Depending what you're after, it aint necessarily (much) cheaper than buying from main suppliers like Dell... which will come with warranty and what be it... But I guess it aint much use if your sending the box half way around the world. Got a spare PC already built if you want it? Not super fast like, but more than adequate for most things... D.
  2. I was also there the same time as Whiteman. Got my fine tune done - albeit a little late (had Geo originally done back in Oct... ). Luckily the car had generally settled well - with only a recent pot-hole incident knocking the toe (iirc) on the drivers side. And annoyingly, Tony highlighted the inner part of the rim had been dented a little due to the force of the impact Dolpe. But fine tunes R free. g0g0g0 D. P.S. He couldn't sort out the geo on my r/c nitro car though - excesive tyre wear on the inside. Oh well :winky:
  3. I got the entire series... Including season 4... but that's in Japanese... Oh, and Season 1-3 are in cantonese... Its a good series/film (Season 3 was released as a film). Bit more of a story line kinda thing... then full on hardcore drifting as such. B) Can lend out if anyone wants to watch.
  4. Ah wicked. Does that class as a mod! LOL. How would you play on it though... :duh: Doubt it'll pass the MOT...
  5. think again ! compare the IS350 and the M3 power: IS350 - 306HP M3 - 330HP 0-60: IS350 - 5.7 secs M3 - 5 secs torque: IS350 - 277 ft/lbs M3 - 262 ft/lbs mpg: IS350 - 28 MPG M3 -24 mpg the IS350 being an auto the M3 being a manual hp is down, but the more important torque is up 0-60 is 0.6 seconds difference considering it is a four door and an auto and with the extra you get with a lexus i would say maybe the IS350 is the better car, now the final comparrison IS350 - $35,000 M3 - $48,000 i know what i would buy :) Sold! Out of interest, anyone know/hazzard a guess how much it would cost overall to actualy import a brand new IS350 from Japan then? :duh: D.
  6. Ooooh, not a good thing to say out loud round here matey!!!! Probably true though :duh: However the new IS owners may behave differently? Or owners of any new model for that matter. I know that when the Yaris T-Sport was first out, my mate used to always "wave/flash/honk" and get waved/flashed/honked back... as it were... (headlights for those who have dirty minds ;)) Same with the Civic Type-R. D.
  7. OK Cool. Could have sworn that last year it was like 6pm onwards and cars were not allowed to come/go or sumit. So unless I get drunk smelling the booze off everyone else...
  8. But don't suppose you know if cars are allowed in in the evening? i.e. about 9pm like? Have double booked myself on the Saturday (going gliding :)), but was planning on coming overnight for the Sunday... May earn myself a few bob doing a couple of runs!
  9. Woah woah woah. chill out peeps Thing is, it still is difficult to compare like-for-like if you look at all the silly things that effect the premium (which you all know I guess? e.g. lower premium, but higher excess, protected NCB but with 1 claim per year vs 2 per year, even legal protection, driving other people's cars, overseas driving and stuff). So, unless everytime you are 100% sure you want certain "features", then it may not always be possible to compare/offer "best" price straight away. I guess what I mean is the cheaper the preimium, may not be the "best" price. So its still up to you to make your own informed decision D. P.S. "Mr Yau". I like it :) Time for a forum name change methinks... :D Another point to consider as well, as well as if they will let you take the car to a Lexus dealer for example.
  10. Really wanted to watch this... except i'm at work :tsktsk: May hunt for it online later... D
  11. Well it is my day off I know Tony :winky: and much appreciated as well! :D Just being lazy :duh:
  12. Cheers for da reminder Jase! lol Got myself booked in for fine tune this Saturday :) Albeit at a stupidly early time in the morning!!! :D
  13. Yeah, pretty good - much motorway/cruising speed though? Town driving makes all the difference. D
  14. LOL. Get a proper router... Linksys/Cisco... What the log say? Sync issue? Idle time reached? D.
  15. Awwwrr. Congrats! Good luck wit da little girl! D.
  16. Thanks for the pics, it's definitely much clearer this way. I own a black IS, and I sure do want to put a similar exhaust system on it. Actually it looks very similar to the one on Gen² IS. :winky: I do like it very much indeed. Hmmm. £450... Wonder if it gave you any increase in power at all? D. B)
  17. Have a good day! Mr Jim! :D D.
  18. Hi all, Some of you may have read this thread. I used the Tooting branch last year, who did me very well. This year, the renewal from Tooting branch was £555 (5 years protected NCB, 1 unresolved outstanding claim, CR post code, 26 years young). Called Alistair from A-plan Newbury branch. Offered me £500. So, shopping around a bit, the best handful were Adrian Flux £435, Confused (from Admiral) £437 and MoreThan £491. Got a follow up call and I told them about my findings, so after a bit of quote dealing, ended up with £415. Very helpful and polite on the phone. Dealt with a chap called Grant Stevens, who was more than helpful in getting me quotes. £140 savings than if I just went with my renewal. Happy chappy :) :D :winky:
  19. Pull handbrake right up. Put car in first. Bring up clutch slowly and see if car will eventually cut out. If not, then the clutch is slipping = "on its way out". D.
