  2. Hi, I'm currently trying to research a bit on the S/C that is in my car, I have the TTE S/C + TDi Stage 1 boost. Here are my questions, anyone know the answers? 1. Is the TTE S/C an Eaton M62? 2. What RPM does the standard TTE S/C run at? 3. What RPM does the TDi Stage 1 S/C run at? Thanks
  3. It doesn't go off, next time I park up I open the bonnet, pull out 3 fuses, wait for a bit and then put the back in. Causes problem if you leave it with CEL on, if you do the same thing (i.e. high throttle low revs) and throw another CEL with one already thrown it will go into get you home mode i.e. fixed 2000 rpm which is not good!
  4. My car has this problem if you don't let it warm up, if it is cold outside and you use lots of throttle at low revs in a high gear it will stutter a lot, 25% of the time it will also throw a CEL.
  5. No one as far as I'm aware, there are cars with regular TTE + NOS or TDi boost & No NOS. I don't know of any cars with both.
  6. no way, not wasting my money on that when i can make one myself. getting a co2 fire extinguisher from work, connecting a tube to it, tube routes out the bonnet, extinguisher between seats and you're done. will post a workshop article if anyone is interested.

  8. might have been a little hot when it got there :P . MOT tester burnt his finger on the exhaust :D
  9. My car had its second MOT yesterday (passed OK last year), here are the results - shows that modifications don't cause problems for the MOT! Fast Idle Test: CO level 0.00% (max allowed 0.30%) HC level 13ppm (max allowed 200ppm) Lamda 1.00 (allowed range 0.97 - 1.03) Natural Idle Test: CO Level 0.08% (max allowed 0.50%) Garage of my car so you can see the mods if you don't know: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...CODE=12&CID=120
  10. I've got my old rear lights (changed to the 03 Chrome ones), I was planning to throw them away as part of my spring cleaning today / tomorrow, let me know if you want them. Keiran
  11. looking good, at least you won't need to fabricate any engine mounts this time ;)
  12. This is obviously a thing that LOC should be dealing with, Marc (Wxman's) pictures are being used to sell a product that is not as advertised, if Wxman were to just let this drop there could be many LOC members with dash kits that aren't what they are expecting. I think the frustration and anger is to be expected, Wxman's hard work is being used to rip off other people, some people could even view this as being deliberate, maybe Wxman gets a cut of led auto designs money etc.... this is obviously not true but without this thread and the anger you don't find out the true story. I'm sure this could have been resolved 3 pages ago by Led auto designs with a simple "i'm sorry for using your pictures message" with an explanation that real pics were pending. Instead the question has been unanswered for many pages, why? This thread is great information since even with good feedback on ebay you can't always trust someone, different people are happy with different results. Based on this thread I wouldn't buy any products from led auto design even in the futrue if they improve, you just don't know what you're getting.
  13. If you've got a 30k budget why not go for an IS300 instead?
  14. I took my car to local MOT place last year, no problems at all. Will be taking it back next week for second MOT. Last year passed without any problems at all although did need to be warmed up a lot for the emissions test - passed with 0.13 in the end.
  15. Are you sure it's not the belt slipping on the S/C? This is very common at high rpm, you can tigten the belt (two person job) or get some belt spray for it.
  16. the insulation on mine was the same, no extra noise at all - other than my screaming in pain while changing gear
  17. a steam powered IS, now thats an interesting idea
  18. i'm with bulldog communications, its great, no problems ever unlike when i was with bt openwoe. high speed (2Mb) and cheap (around 40-45 i thing - not 100% sure)
  19. Lol i went out for about 3 hours in the car today. i swear the bicep on my left arm is twice the size it was this morning. its certainly sore........
  20. I've only driven my car for about an hour with it on but its great, shift is much, much better. Reverse is a bit of an adventure and my girlfriend can't drive it anymore (another plus this one). Fitting is really easy, took about 30 minutes total, limited tools required (10mm hex, 4mm allen key), instructions are easy to follow. Ignore the bit on the box that says 2000 and up for the fitting, it fits 1999 as well so I'd guess it would fit all years and Altezza too.
  21. hmm, that could be it, this is what i did: unlocked car on button to get wallet got wallet, wanted to know time so put key in ignition turned on to check time and then off and took key out got out of car woulnd't lock on button
