  1. Hi & welcome James. I love the GT86's but as you say great for a hoot around then not so great on the day to day stuff. The RC should fit in with your lifestyle perfectly. Why the 300h over the 200t?
  2. If I had a chance to get a B5S I would. Very rare (Only 13 in the UK) and once its had the supercharger replaced very reliable. The only slight niggle is its not a M car and doesn't handle like one but 90% of the time no problem. Sounds much better than an M5 though!
  3. Officially reject the car in writing and leave it at the dealer.
  4. Lexus did exactly the same with my negative terminal. Didn't have the same problems as yours. Mine just completely shut down (luckily just walking pace in traffic) the day after visiting the dealer. Wonder if their recommended torque settings are too low?
  5. The cooling fans staying on is normal but not sure about the brake lights. Is the new battery fully charged?
  6. Still see that Lexus Stockport one driving around Alderley Edge. Surprisingly, the carbonfibre is still on!
  7. They should also allow you to pay monthly over 2 years and interest free.
  8. Would of thought the shocks were £395 for a pair, fitted? oem ones are only about £120ea to buy. Rear brakes stuck quite common as they hardly get used. I strip and cleaned mine annually. Easy 30 min job.
  9. Get ready to see lots of these at the side of the road.
  10. Make sure its a 2010 model as a lot of 2009's were registered in 2010. Look for the blue F at bottom of the steering wheel. If it a 2009 that's too expensive.
  11. Difficult to tell now as it was usually the higher the number the faster the car. But that changed with the IS300h and IS200t. Might even be hydrogen?
  12. I did nearly 60k miles in two years in mine. Just servicing & tyres.
  13. In my case I've had 9 Lexus's and the RX is on a 2 year extended so that's 11 years worth of warranty and never used them once. But for peace of mind I'd still get one with a warranty.
  14. Yes, peace of mind is the only reason for a warranty. Financially it doesn't add up on a Lexus. No Lexus warranty available after 10 years.
  15. None of them. I'd look for a Lexus warranty first then FLSH.
  16. If 12 of us put £32k in each and each have it for a month............
  17. It's not just the expensive 60k service missing but also oil changes way over the recommended 10k. Up for sale almost 2 years now. I suppose if you went to a Lexus garage the brakes, tyres, 60k service and a warranty would come to around £3500 and you will still have a car with a dodgy history. Might as well get one from a dealer. Needs to be £18k to sell in its current condition. Rear brakes just a cable, easy job.
  18. Looks fantastic! I think they offer great value for the performance available. 5 digit postcode is normal for Lexus.
  19. Sounds like they may of included the major 60k service but that should of been done already at the 6 year mark.
  20. Nobody yet has come up with a better intake than the original.
  21. The key word there is 'polish'. Its just a way of cleaning up your paintwork, you now need a wax to seal in all your hard work. I use Autoglym HD Wax.
  22. The picture will look the same as its fixed to your resolution but the maps and system software get updated. The best feature of the updates is that you can input data while on the move.
  23. Radio interference is quite common. My wife has to park on the left hand side of her work car park. If she parks up against the building the remotes won't work.
