I'll be getting some coilovers in the next few months, I'm thinking of a Tein Super Street set up. Are they highly recommended and what are the other options?

I do like them. But I wouldn't attempt it myself, haven't got the patience or time really, I certainly want a set though! I hear what you're saying about the main beam, and the fact they're bi-xenon is trick. How have you connected up the surrounding LEDs? To the sidelights or as DRLs? I would've removed the orange filter also. These would look very good inside a set of late spec IS300 lights.

Much much better than I thought it was going to be. Not OTT either looks almost OEM. How about a few more pics? Could you or is it possible to do this to the main beam so as to have a double projector headlight? So how easy was the install?

I'd certainly have a very large car park of cars. I've always been a Fast Ford fan, so some pristine examples of Series 1 Escort RS Turbo, Series 2, Sierra RS500, Sapphire Cosworth, Escort Coswoth etc I know a lot of people would buy luxurious motors, but 10mil would soon be gone. But I'd buy a brand new M3 Convertable, and to keep with the Lexus brand a nice LS600H The wife-hmm, a Nissan Micra maybe...a 2001MY! haha!

Can't wait to see them mate. I love some of the work AAC do, have you seen their site? Live the double projector headlights. But at almost 1k from AAC I'd have lights almost worth more than my car!! And US Spec! Look forward to seeing them on. Although I'd prefer them less black.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but there was an eBay member selling brand new sets of 11 spoke Anthracite rims for £135 a few years ago. I got myself a set. You do bargains bow and again, but that was a true rare one! A few members of LOC bought sets. As for getting them now for £250 with tyres-I don't think so. I'm currently looking for a set of tyreless Aero's!

I went for the Falken 452s after all. Got all 4 fully fitted for £355. Not bad I thought. Nice to hear other opinions though, thanks.

On my younger years unused to buy loads of boy racer mags. Max Power, Revs, Fast Car, Redline, Fast Ford, Performance Ford and sometimes a few others. I used to collect them every month without fail. I starred in 1994 and it all faded out about 2002/3. I actually binned all my collection except Fast Ford and Performance Ford. Regretted after but it's done now. Now I've grown up I buy Auto express from time to time. I used to be subscribed to it but cancelled that. I still flick through other car mags bit at £5 a go they're expensive for te content nowadays.

I am a fan of daytime running lights. And all new model cars or significant face lifted cars have to have them as of February this year. I'm not a fan however of the stick on type, or aftermarket type like the LED strips. They look tacky and aren't half as powerful as originals. I saw a new shape IS the other day with the new DRLs Lexus have, like the ones on the CT, very bright and probably brighter by night than the headlights! But it's what people like, if we all likeed the same it'd be a boring world.

Quick question. I need tyres urgently, fitted before the weekend as I'm going away. I have just worn through a second set of Toyo Proxes T1Rs, did 16000 miles on them. Anyway, I was looking at Falken 452s but having trouble finding a local tyre place that have them and for a decent price. I have been offered 4 Nankang NS2s for £260 fitted. Question is does anyone recommend these tyres or are they a total no no?

I wouldn't be worried about splitting the headlights. I have done so before to remove the orange filter. Then I bought some late spec headlights but have left them alone. I have an idea how to install the projectors, cut out space in the reflector screw the projector in etc. There are how to's on You Tube. But it's getting the light pattern beam and cut off right. I would just prefer to have it done professionally.

I have been looking for decent projectors for some time. I'm not really a fan of the aftermarket sets on eBay etc. AAC do amazing projectors but again a US company and very expensive. I know they say these are plug and play but you still have to take your headlights apart and everything else. If I could find someone to do the job for me I'd be interested definitely.

Discs And Pads What Are People Recommending?

What about drilled and grooved Brembo Discs all round? Don't know if anyone can recommend them. There are sets on eBay for £270. -
There are only 3 types. All US spec except 1 company do say they can provide their projector headlights with CCFL halos for right hand drive cars. Search on eBay worldwide for Lexus IS200 projector and you should come across them. There are 1 type with LED surrounding the projector. 1 with CCFLs and the other with LED DRL strips. Let us know how you get on.

I was lucky enough to find my late spec ones on eBay. At seperate times. I'm glad I did, £180 per light!!! Extortion!!!

These are a nightmare these old spec fogs! I've been through 2 sets and now the new one on the drivers side has stopped working and has misted up. Not spending anymore money on them! I've just bought a pair of the late spec dark ones and I'm going to wire them in. What the difference in the later ones then? Are they not prone to misting and corrosion?

It's due the way the pattern of the beam shines. Not sure if that can be adjusted? But that one on eBay is UK IS300 OEM.

That's what i thought mate. But it's cash on delivery so that would be up to him. I got pictures and they look ok, he seems friendly enough too. But I'm not desperate for a set at the moment. Let me know how you get in if you buy them.
