What are the tints that the new Bentleys, S8's and top spec S Class have? It's like a cloudy smokey effect which seems to change depending on the light. Is this film or the actual glass? Looks quite good.

I've never owned the same car for so long. Bought it in 2005 a few years old after my ST was stolen, fancied something classy at the time. Since then I've not been able to seperate myself from it for anything else. Never once has it let me down! People at work have their new GTD's, E Class Mercs, Prius, C Max and the like of brand new motors. Yet when mine is in the car park nice and clean it always gets the most attention. And when it's running next to the newer cars people say start it up lets hear it. Lol! As we all know, fuel kills your wallet, performance can kill your rep and technology makes it feel dated, but it's a great car if you know of it, about and what Lexus are about. Once you've owned one its hard to compare its value, and I don't mean in pounds!

They don't work great, they didnt for me anyway. Any LED bulb in a standard cluster will not be as bright as a conventional bulb. It certainly won't give you the LED look. The only way to get that is to either retrofit or buy aftermarket.

I used to see this car everyday, Ilford area right? Used to have a small front plate?

It's a cool mod if you can do it, as petayV8 says most modern cars have this feature, in fact my mates 04 plate C Class has it where side lights and front fogs turn on when you unlock with the fob. VW, Audi, Rangers etc also use their fogs as cornering light, so they come on whenever you turn left or right. If you find a way let me know.

The grafting pays off. I used to keep my car showroom, it's time consuming and hard work, then family took over! I've never used water to rinse in the engine bay, aren't there things you shouldn't get wet or pour water over? Think I'd be dubious about rinsing the engine bay with water?

Really want to get mine done too. I'm due a new set of tyres soon so may get it done then. Last time I got new tyres I was told they couldn't do a 4 wheel alignment due to siezed bolts on something or other. Would WIM be able to fix or fit new parts too? Wouldn't want a wasted trip.

I have 5000k in my dipped beam and find its the perfect balance between light output and colour temp. I bought them from HIDS4U and the bulbs have a cut off to reduce light scatter. Higher temp colour doesn't look good, too blue in my opinion, especially on a prestige car. Cheap kits I find often have very bad light scatter and not enough concentrated light from the bulb. You'll only get what you pay for.

I have nothing aftermarket I'm afraid. Only late spec 11 spoke in anthracite.

I have HIDs in my IS200 and have never had a problem with MoT. You can tell a poor quality kit though from the extreme dazzle or a kit that's 'blue' rather than white. I have 5000k from HIDS4U with the beam cut off bulbs. Even though the IS bulbs are set to an angle they still work well to cut off scatter. I hate people who fit extreme blue or 10k kits, especially to a prestige marque, just looks ridiculous imo. I would say it does depend a lot on where you go to get an MoT, how strict they are.

They're both exactly the same mate. Only difference being bulb type on all models from about 2003> I think the yellow IS300 fog has a plastic filter.

Nice to a modded LE, you don't really see that many. Unique is nice, and its unique to you.

Hello all. On my last service I had a few bits that are worn/need replacing. Just wondering if anyone can help, has them laying around. -VVTi engine cover. My one is breaking down, crumbling. -Centre under cover/tray. Fixings are split on mine underneath car. Also I was told the 'handbrake casing' is cracked and needs replacing? Not sure exactly what part I need, have been looking to no avail. Anyone else had this problem? And finally can anyone point me in the right direction of a good quality new radiator? Thanks for looking.

Yes Rory I did get them of him, although I don't think ingot wheel nuts! You got two sets, one of them was obviously mine! Lol!

Well done mate, always good to get a bargain. I got a set if these 3 years go on eBay brand spanking new for £120. Although I'm not keen on them now, think I just get bored of wheels (except Aeros!) Good luck pal hope the wheels are good.

Firstly these aren't mine and neither do I know the seller or connected in any way to the listing. Saw them and thought they were quite cheap. 5 wheels with tyres in fairly good condition at less than £100! Item number 300899095070 if anyone here is interested, just been listed I'd say be quick!

I found a few places that do it, even know the Lexus 5 spokes very well, BJV do them for £200 for 4, come recommended too by a few people on here in the past. I wouldn't go without as I do really like the diamond cut faces, adds that extra touch and looks factory fresh and standard. But everyone has different tastes and chooses different finishes. It's an expensive game! I also have 5 Aero's that I want to refurb for summer too!! And currently have the anthracite 11 spokes on the car. Need to quit collecting wheels haha!
