  1. I also agree they look fantastic! But sadly have been ruined by chavs that put them all over the front of their Saxo's and Clio's! But tastefully done on a tasteful motor they can look real good. I'm currently debating whether to put them on my Lex or not as DRL's. Hmm? Prism do a nice range in either clear or black design. I have seen the LED DRL's on alot of cars now, probably getting ready for the 2011 law. Merc, Porsche, Insignia, Fiat 500, BM's, they all have their own style. I'm sure Lexus will create something with wow factor when they have to start putting DRL's on their next Gen of vehicles.
  2. Looks like fantastic work! Can't wait to see the finished product with the flushed boot and R8 indicators!
  3. Same as jsj24uk. Self employed Driving Instructor. Have my own business since leaving BSM in October 2008. I teach manual and work in most RM postcodes and surrounding area's of Essex. I can help anybody recommended by a LOC member by providing their first driving lesson a FREE!! :) Good times!! PS. Is it me or does Fargo sound miserable? you ok mate? Think most of realise this has been done before and know about the search button. But its nice to to have an up to date thread on such things. Its good for new members who might not post on such an old thread, or even look for one with such a specific title. If you don't want to add to it then simply don't! :)
  4. Yeah i've seen a few fibre glass copies around. Always a TTE one on fleabay. Always seem to see more TRD ones though.
  5. I was thinking of having dual exit exhausts on mine. No sound or style change just really for cosmetics. I see some of you have them on here. Whats the best company to have them made up?
  6. Well its got nothing to do with him not understanding! Its just plain damn ignorance. Can't stand people like that. What car does he drive by the way?
  7. Recoverd from the night before the nice day. Then went to have Nando's for lunch and just chilled til now. Hope the weather holds up for tomorrow!!
  8. I want a TTE rear skirt !! I have been looking for ages! Never come up on ebay and just hard to source!
  9. Can't vouch for the Astra but the newer spec models aren't too bad, what year you getting? I had an ST (Mk1) before my Lex, on the same level as the Astra and to be honest if someone wanted to swap me for a new shape ST i would oblige!! I know what you mean about the power, but i suppose you sacrifice that for ...well, just for it being a Lexus and all that comes with that name.
  10. Not sure on that one mate but yes it is a possibility i guess if air can get in. What about drilling a small hole and using a rubber grommet fed through with the wire? I'm looking to do a similar mod soon but trying to run DRLs. Not sure how to wire them yet though! Good luck with yours dude!
  11. Or Google images, Lexus IS200/300. There are hundreds there mate :)
  12. Would be great if someone could just make a complete kit for this! A nice bright evenly spread kit!
  13. I think alot of people put the wire through the sidelight hole mate? As the sidelight bulb doesn't get used once you use the Halo's. If you wanted to use both i guess you could drill a small hole? Are you wiring them as DRLs or to work as sidelights?
  14. I used to have a fibreglass Cosworth kit on my Escort (no jokes) and it'd crack and chip if you took it within an inch of a kerb! Just not worth it, i was forever reapairing it to make it look decent. As Gord says you only get what you pay for mate.
  15. Its the same everywhere. Average price where i am is about 97.9. Wasn't there a tax increase recently of 2p then another just after the budget?
  16. Well done mate got it for a good price at £60%
  17. Been watching this one myself mate, i was gonna bid (last few seconds) as i thought it was such a bargain, only for that reason though. You know sometimes you don't really need or want something but its too much of a bargain to turn down! Lol! Of course i won't bid now i know you're after it mate, good luck! Although there has been a few times i've thought that i'm the only watcher, noone else knows about the auction then last minute its like the whole of LOC have joined in! Lol!
  18. Thanks Asi thats nice of you. The grills in the bumper i bought are in a right state, god knows what they've been through, all split and broke. Well if i get a good reply and offer from the seller i will let you know and of course won't bid. Thanks for the replies guys :)
  19. Try smoked chrome or black chrome with late spec lights all round. In my opinion that would look good! But remember its just an opinion, everyone is different :) Always thought the styling kit rims would look better in a different shade though.
  20. Well i've e-mailed them back just await a reply now. Done exactly what you said Stevie, offered the same as what Stav got them for. If no joy i'll give Asi some competition on the auction! Lol! Noticed how they have been relisted much cheaper with cheaper postage. Still if nothing comes of it i may well have the remaining set from you Stav ...if you still have them then!
  21. Ok here what happened! The link you put up there Stav is exactly what i'm talkin about. I bid on the grills (a bit more than i wanted to) but fell out when it started getting silly. Shocking like Stevie says that it went for £67 plus P+P!! Well i got a second chance offer from the seller so i e-mailed back explaining i thought the item sold for a price over what i consider it to be worth. They e-mailed back to say they would sell to me for £60 (Still overpriced!) What i now find very interesting (and annoying) is that you got a complete set Stav, for £32!! Either they didn't know what they were worth before the auction end or they had auto bid by someone to notch up the price against me as it was only me and another bidder. I would've been more than happy to pay £32 for the set. Anyway i'm going to e-mail them back now. Do you think i should tell them i know of someone (Stav) who got them for £32? Or what? And Stav, thanks v.much for the offer mate, i might just have the lower parts off you if i get no joy from ebay seller. How much you after for them dude?
  22. White Zig Zag lines are always in force and you can pick up 3 points for parking on them if caught. Yellow Zig Zags as someone pointed out are the same only if enforced, if they're not enforced then they're similar to Keep Clear boxes. I would blame the driver of the car who hit the parked car, does it matter where your car is parked if its hit surely thats undue care and attention? If i was to see someone parked on Zig Zags i would slow down to observe more. Although this could be more the case like on motorways when a car is stopped on the hard shoulder and the rubber neckers end up driving into it! Hands follow eyes! But second to that what inconsiderate twit parks on yellow Zig Zags outside a school at kicking out time?! I'm sure if it was their child almost run over they'd be the first to point blame at the driver parked on the Zig Zags!!
  23. Does anyone know roughly what these cost? I have a bumper i'll be fitting soon but the grills are a state. I've been offered a brand new set but not sure on the price of them or if the offer is a good one? Any ideas? And where could you source the grills from anyway? Thanks in advance.
  24. I have mine debadged minus the centre L logo. Never liked the size of the Lexus or IS badges. Would like to see the flushed fog mod!
  25. I have some Bosch retro-fit flat wipers on mine, look great, work great even after a year and rough winter. Only downside i find is they can be loud at times when they hit full wipe. But thats when you listen for it if you know what i mean?
