yes the wheels are 225/40/18, can i use these if i heat up the arches as ANEES said?

You have almost the exact same setup as me (but yours is 5mm lower).

Just heat up the plastic arch liner with a heatgun, and gently push the pastic back. If your lucky you may be able to do it with the tyre still on, but probably best to find where its rubbing and then take the typre off to be on the safe side and push the liner back as far as you can.

I used a heat gun and a damp sponge to do mine.

Good Luck :D

i know why you are having problems with the tyres rubbing - u said that you are using 225/40/18 correct? you SHOULD be using 225/35/18 instead, as it says in the TÜV certificate and also "To ensure adequate freedom of motion of the wheels on axle 1 the plastic inner wing panels have to be flatten in front of the tires."

have a read of it - it gives you all the info u will ever need about the wheels

paul, the wheels came from Toyota belgium, from one of there IS200's.

its for that reason that i said you wouldnt have a problem......i didnt know your car was lowered, and didnt consider it

rob, it also says that 225/40/18 can be used on the sportscross.(look below the saloon listing on the Tuev certificate)

i know Jaspers car isnt a sportscross, but these wheels came of an is200 in Belgium, actually one of Toyota Belgiums IS200's.

so the issue must be that the car is lowered?

TUV certificate, (page 5) and for clearence issues...pushing in arch liner, look at page 7 para k2 and para k7t

i asked prolex prior to buying the springs and was told that they would fit with the gt1 alloys (will dig it up tommorow)

yes the wheels do fit - u need to push the arch liner in!

When exactly is the wheel rubbing? when you are driving straight?, slightly turning, turning near full lock???
