Where To Buy Toyota Long Life Coolant/anti-freeze

Hi,

Does anyone have any idea where i can buy Toyota Long Life Coolant/Anti-Freeze?

I have searched everywhere, and i simply can't find it anywhere!

I have a Lexus IS200 and i was advised to get this specific brand of Coolant.

Isn't that a US site though and hence will cost a fortune to ship something heavy like liquids ?

Make sure you get the right type of Toyota coolant. It comes in green, red and pink. Red and pink are the types used on the IS200 I think. As Bazza said, you can get it from Toyota/Lexus.

Yeah just ring up Toyota / Lexus and ask for it, the part number for the Toyota 4Life Red coolant is 08889-80002 for 5 litres, and is somewhere around the £20 mark.

Or just buy any ethylene glycol antifreeze that you like. Other places do long life stuff and are cheaper than Toyota.

You can buy it from any UK Lexus or Toyota !, no idea why u'd want buy from another country

I thought it was best to stick to the Toyota stuff due to the way it's formulated to stop corrosion of the engine ?

I've not seen any that do not have corrosion inhibitors in for a long time. The owners manual just says to use ethelyne glycol based antifreeze, not alcohol based, and doesn't even mention a brand from what I remember (been a while since I read the manual though).

Motul Inugel or Inugel Ultra - the latter being a concentrate, so one 5L will make 10-15L with deionised water.
