I got a call from Lexus Leeds before I got the Lexus letter. I'm booked in for next week for the 2nd key fob to be programmed. This will be exactly 3 months since collection of the car. -

No it isn't true. Only the bonnet is an Aluminium Steel alloy, all other body panels are steel. Even if it was true, with the correct primer and paint you would achieve consistent colour - otherwise every new car would have been rejected for poor paint. The fact is that metallic silver is very difficult to match. The vehicle in question had a cheap respray by only doing a single panel rather than a more expensive blending across multiple panels to hide the slight colour differences. -
Hello there, previously I've owned a Lexus RX450h but unfortunately a stupid taxi driver drove into the front quarter of my car and written it off with the whole suspension and subframe bent and it was practically unsalvageable. However sad as it is i suffered some whiplash but I'm fine in the mean time, so recently i am interested in a 2016 Lexus GS300h F Sport is some metallic silver colour. However when i came over some parts of the vehicle had a different shade of this silver. I don't know if its lighting or just the fact that the plastic can't replicate the same tone as the metallic colour. Prior the seller told me that he resprayed the rear bumper due to minor chips and damages from previous owners lunging stuff into the boot or something relevant. However when talking about this to him he told me that plastic cant replicate fully the colour of the body due to the fact ; "that the car body is aluminium". I looked online to check this but it never explicitly said if its a steel body or aluminium body So my question is that if truly the whole body was made of aluminium, and when i mean by body i mean body panels, bonnet, doors, boot, quarter panels and not the main structure or anything like that. Thank you.

My display not showing outside temperature , just - - - can someone let me know what the issue is?

Black does look amazing but to get the max benefit you need to dechrome your car and swap the reflectors for tinted or smoked ones, Ive had some HCmotion V1's for 2 years and my inner left tail light has just failed so I may end up replacing with red ones instead to look OEM plus

Check tyre pressure? Increasing a few psi over the recommended pressure might help too. -

Sorry to confuse but with your mentioning the word rood I extrapolated the word perch and took it further with the old aged measuring formulae of roods perches and acres too complex …… sorry, my mind sometimes works in mysterious ways ……., that’s what comes from driving a Lexus Ls400 for a quarter century …….. Hope it’s not contagious 😅 Malc -

Yes Ronnie I too noticed it But Prior to it going belly up i had it working perfectly . it was a faff to get it up and running but i persevered and it all came together. But as you rightly said the last update sent it into a spiral and is no longer working. Lexus UK is investigating after I wrote To Mr Chris Hayes ( I think that is name) I have Samantha on my case but the CarPlay unit as worked flawlessly so i may resign it to the bin -
I’ve been reading through the items covered by the Relax warranty and notice that “sensors” ARE covered. One of my front parking sensors is faulty and I can’t see why this would not be covered under Relax. Has anybody had one or more of these replaced under Relax and, if not, what argument could Lexus use to exclude these items from the warranty.

Assuming that your cars engine and hybrid battery are good order, you should be able to achieve higher MPG figures. When I am driving my vehicle I always keep the vehicle in the default setting which is drive, I have never used eco mode. I always keep the HVAC controls in the auto mode. During my journeys I try to make use of the battery regeneration by taking my foot of the accelerator when safe to do so, very useful when descending a hill. When approaching red traffic lights or stationary vehicles I avoid rapid breaking, by applying the brake pedal gently it helps to regenerate the battery. On motorways I use cruise control, I normally cruise at about 65MPH, I avoid rapid acceleration. This all may seem a little boring, but by carrying out these simple procedures I get enjoyment out of seeing my MPG readings increase significantly. -

They got wise to the frequency of battery issues early on most likely. I think I may have lucked out for now as after several days on a Ctek 800xs, the voltage seems to be back up (12.7v) in Accessory mode without dropping off rapidly anymore. I am closely monitoring and intend to put the trickle charger on as often as possible. The instructions state negative on a metal body part and positive on the battery terminal. When charging in the boot, which bit of bodywork are people using, or is it safe to simply clip both negative and positive terminals directly? At the moment I am charging on the metal rail on the engine (negative) and the positive terminal in the fuse box. Setting up is a bit of a faff, so looking for a quicker plug and go option.
