Vandals Slashing Tyres

Heard on the news tonight that vandals have been slashing tyres on cars in and around the Bournemouth area. Appears they have immobilized around 400 cars in the last two weeks!! Anyway Steve, hope yours is tucked away out of harms way

Occurs to me that the Soarer is a heavy old girl. Anyone here had to jack the car up to change a wheel? Anything special to look out for?

yep .. i dont keep her at my house... round my mates place who has a long driveway and one of those gravely drives!

would take a bit of nerve to try and get her or even do anything without being heard as the dog likes to barf!

Thong driveway?! Is that like a Tanga driveway, only smaller?

Seems the tally is now up to almost 500 cars attacked now. Hope they catch the little scrotes soon! Strikes me, if you were an unscrupulous tyre dealer this would be how you'd drum up business

jacking up the car

on the welded seam where the cill meets the underside about 12" from the wheel you will see two notches in the seam this is where the jack head goes ,the scissor jack as supplied with the car is quite adequate and the handle is also quite clever
