Are these fitted as standard to the sel model or are they aftermarket.

Have them on mine. I'm of the opinion that they are standard on the SE-L.

Pretty sure they are standard on the SE-L

They will illuminate at night / in the dark (when the doors open - not too sure if they come on when the lights are on and the doors open?) but not to the point they illuminate the car.

No - definitely not as the updated version of this was driven by a HDD - earlier versions are Disc driven.

Why you looking to change?

Think the facelift cars changed the colour from blue illuminated to white if I recall some posters comments from previous threads.

Only standard on all SE-L models. IIRC the ISF does not come with them either, unless they were fitted to the later models. Colour changed from blue to white on the 09MY models. They can be retrofitted. I know a member on here removed them from his SE-L and fitted them to his ISF a while back. I think he found that the wiring loom was present on one side but not the other for some reason.

Yes there is a how to on forum fit to door button i think , just a nice touch when you open the door. Dont know what the cost would be thou.
