Chrome/steel Exhaust Tip

Sorry for a really amateur question - anyone tell me if a chrome exhaust tip or similar is standard on the new (2004) IS 200 SE? Know it comes on the Sport. Thanks in advance guys... :D

The chrome tip is only standard on the sport. You can however order it from the dealer, costs about 50 quid..

My 53 reg Sept 03) IS200 SE has a chrome tipped exhaust - although it appears to be integrated in to the tail of the box - there is no screw/allen key fixing that I can see of though (some previous replies indicated there is a fixing - perhaps on later models it is different unless I am talking about someting comletely different!!)

The latest models have a polished tail pipe.

Only the sport and the LE models have the chrome end as standard.

I have a spare in my garage if you want it ?

My Oct 2003 sport does not have a chrome tip, although it is stainless steel.

No 'IS' comes with a chrome tail pipe, the 'Sport and LE' come with a polished stainless steel tail pipe.

The aftermarket version fits over the existing tail-pipe

Cheers for the offer Dunc, my 'IS' is yet to be delivered so best sort out a buyer who already has the right car. Just curious really, may get an afterfit tip depending on how good the factory fit stainless steel finish is.

The polished stainless tip at first glance looks like chrome anyway - I doubt you will need any cover :)

I thought the pre '51 plate facelift model Sports did have the chrome tip?

The facelifted models had the Stainless Steel system and therefore did not need the chrome tip anymore...

Anyone confirm this?

THIS is what my 2004 exhaust trim looks like.

It is listed as stainless steel.

the standard exhaust is stainless steel and has a straight edge

the exhaust trim is chrome, and has a rolled edge, and as it says, is a trim

but then again they call it stainless but it will soon turn black!!

the picture shows the polished SS one. The chrome on has rounded edges.

There is also a normal SS one (i.e. not polished) My 01 X has this. My favorite one is the polished SS.
