Cheers all.

@wendell that stuff looks great but too much effort for me!

Went with this as I have been very impressed with their other products.

Depends what you want,

TBH the "oh its gone up all over my paint" is a poor excuse for "I didnt apply it properly" especially with gel type products. They need wiping on with a sponge, not a blooming paint brush (overloads the tyres which results in sling) and then after a few minutes, a cloth round each tyre to lift any excess off.

I use Autosmart Highstyle, very cheap and outlasts a lot of others (been on my car a month) - if you want something even longer lasting, go for Autosmart Trim wizard which is technically a plastic dressing but its mega durable on tyres from my experience.

Its funny you mention that Gtechniq product, I tried it and thought the cost to performance ratio was extremely poor compared to the likes of Soft99 Black/Black and other tyre "coatings"

Interesting. I'll see how I get on and move to the product you suggest if it's no good.

CarPlan Tyre Slik. Its a spray on, can be made to look glossy or matt. Easiest application by far, last better than any gel I ever came across. Takes a coat (after each weekly wash) initially on previously undressed rubber to get the full effect but after that once a month is all you need

Came across it a few years back when searching to find someting that suited me and never looked back. Also won autoexpress tyre shine category like 3 years running
