I'm in France

I'm just about to buy a 2007 RX400H from my English neighbour to replace a 2007 Nissan Navara.

First jobs will be to change the headlights to LED and to fit a Vline audio unit.

And after that, a change of timing belt/water pump.

Ok, so maybe my priorities are wrong!

Hope the belt doesn't let go before you get round to changing it.

Are you going to replace the entire light units? I think anything else may not be legal, at least not in the UK. Don't know if France has similar laws.

Yes, well technically not entirely legal, but I've been running a bike and 2 cars for 5 years with leds and no problem so far.

I live out in the country, so at night I'm on rural unlit roads, and I need all the help I can get!

Nice, which part of france? My dad has a holiday cottage in Brittany, we love it there. Was hoping to go this year but had to bail at the last minute because of the quarantine changes so now we're in a wooden cabin in a forest in Scotland instead. It's lovely up here though, driving around in the countryside feels a lot like Brittany and we've been very lucky with the weather. Don't want to go home!

We're in a small place called Figeac - about 150Km NE of Toulouse.  Very quiet, as yet fairly undiscovered.

Thanks for the link m4rkw. I'll give the LED bulbs a try first and see how I get on!

I'd be interested to know if you find LED bulbs that are fanless and work well enough without getting hot enough to melt surrounding parts. As far as I could tell when I looked before the market is a bit of a minefield.
