6.15am ; kids drag me out of bed so they can watch a film B4 breakfast.

9.15am; 'er indoors comes flying out from the kitchen (must take a link out of that chain) to report that the dishwasher rack has busted !

10.15am; find out from dishwasher repair shop that parts no longer available(no surprise there then)

11.15am; fix dishwasher with glue gun ! "hero"

12.15pm; 'er indoors want to spend the afternoon at the Trafford Centre (oh joy).

5.15pm; escape from Trafford Centre only to find the Battery is totaly dead. "Click" said the relay. :tsktsk: came my reply.

5.20pm; phoned Roadside Assist who said the RAC would be with us in 45 minutes.

5.22pm; RAC pulls up behind car. "Been waiting long ? " the driver asks. I checked my watch & realised that only 2 minutes had passed.

Is this a record ?

Anyway jump started the GS & away we went.

Got the car booked into Lex' to get a new Battery in morning.

Anyone know the cost of a new Battery for GS300(II) ?

Do I have to put 'er indoors back on the street corner to cover the cost ?

Looking forward to Tuesday!! (Kids mentioned Chester Zoo)

Weather forcast advises to take a paddle. Can't wait

I will put extra links in the chain so she can bring me a cup of T

Put a magnet on my one... Soon as she over steps the mark, "click" on it goes..

Also means I can stick her on the roof for long journeys.

:)

Good idea, driving down to Norwich on Thursday might give the magnet ruse a try & this will also leave the front seat free to line up my fruit gums. As long as she keeps her head down(steady..) when we are near low bridges we should be OK. Don't want to have to rewax the roof. May put a large bag over her to improve wind resistance, can't go wasting fuel !

Just had an idea, if a can position rotating magnets in the kitchen , strap a dish cloth to each hand the resulting flurry of limbs may be a better bet than the dishwasher & save on electricity.

Wonder where I should site them in the bedroom? B)

Do I have to put 'er indoors back on the street corner to cover the cost ?

Last time I put Mrs Dipstick on the street to cover costs she came home with one hundred pounds and twenty five pence.

"Crikey", says me, "who gave you the twenty five pence?"

And she said "They all did".

:P

Well peeps new Battery fitted & the GS is back on the road. £58.95 all in . Just need the bolt cutters now to adjust the chain again as I found that 'er indoors had used the broom handle to reach the phone in the hall & had been bumping her gums all day & as a result "mans dinner" was not on the table !

The ankle did look a bit bruised now you come to mention it so I dug out an old chamois leather so she can pad round the bruise.

I must be going soft with age!!!

No sign of "mans supper", better take the old gal in hand.
