Hi there I'm new to the site and would like to know the answers to a few questions, before I buy.

Where can I buy a Lexus Altezza from a reliable source in the UK, I'm in the SouthEast London area BTW?

Is the insurance higher than the usual IS200 Sport?

Does the IS200 have a remote controlled boot release from the keyfob like the Mercedes C-class?

Does the IS200 have a total close facility of all windows and sunroof when locked using remote control keyfob?

And finally is the DVD Sat Nav system able to be used to play DVD videos; and can anything be added to the Sat Nav to enable it to receive TV channels? i.e. a Tuner unit of some sort?

Many thanks, I hope I will get the answers to make my mind up to buy a Lexus.

Welcome to the club mate... :tumble:

Answers to a couple of your questions:

- yes the key fob enables you to open the boot

- no it doesn't have a full closure facility

I hope the other guys can help you with your other queries... :D

I am sure this can be added quite easily.. alot of Alarm systems have this facility

If I'm not wrong the Sat Nav System of the IS200 is not DVD. DVD only available for the other Lexus cars.

Btw...Welcome to the club! :bounce:

Isn't it a real shame that this is missing? Even a Focus I had as a company car had it!!

The new edition IS200 has a DVD based sat nav - with control by the gearstick.

The old sat nav was CD based, and touch screen.

The new sat nav is the same system as in the SC430! (and I really, really love it:D)

But as I understand it you can't get it to play Film DVDs or feed in TV as the input is some bizarre proprietary one that Lexus won't release the specs for. There is meant to be an interface built by Pioneer that they no longer sell. Loads of people have asked about this but no-one has said they've managed it yet!
