Manifold heat shield - loose!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, just a quick question.... (i think i know what the answer should be)....

My 69 plate IS300h f-sport exhaust manifold heat shield retaining bolts are tight, but the heat shield is loose and although i havent heard it rattle, this doesn't seem right....maybe bolts have bottomed out and just needing a washer added? Anyone else noticed or experienced this?.....Thanks in advance😎👍

Probably not the advice you're looking for, but if it's a 69 plate, I'd just go to dealership and let them sort everything out under warranty. Get your monies worth!

Just looked in my 2019 RC F-Sport and found the shield very slightly loose with the bolts perfectly tight. So, having heard no rattles, I would believe this to be normal.  But you should mention it to your dealer anyway.

My RC300h is the same. Obviously noticed and touched it when cold. Assume it's to allow for expansion when hot, but haven't checked it then.
