GSF ride comfort ?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys i am considering buying a gsf and wondered what the ride was like, is it really harsh or quite comfortable

have not had an opportunity to try one yet but the car is everything i want as long as the ride is not too stiff for long journeys.

i would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Thanks Bob.

If you have the budget go for a later car with AVS.

I have a late 2017 GSF and the suspension is great. Firm suspension gives great cornering ability but is not at all harsh ...surprisingly comfortable for a car with such handling and of course having AVS it is softer in the non sports modes. I have a 2007 Honda Civic executive I use as a runabout...now that is a harsh and uncomfortable ride!!! There is a big difference between firm and harsh.

And the nice thing about the AVS is you can leave it in standard mode and when you get a move on you can notice it all tightening up. I had my Mini Clubvan converted to the Tein EDFC PRO system which was also very clever, well worth the money as it rode like a limo on motorways then tightened up to being a super sorted Mini on the twisty A roads.

We have a 2017 model with AVS. Very happy with the ride, it’s used as a daily driver and family car and I find it very comfortable. Much better than our RX450h F Sport.

Non-AVS 2016 owner here - the ride is firm, but very rarely is it harsh - it's certainly a lot more grown up than my 2008 ISF was. Perfectly fine for longer journeys, and the seats are still some of the most comfortable I've ever sat in!

Best of both worlds! 😉
