The window goes up and down fine when I raise or lower the roof, but cant get it to do the same using the switch. I swapped switches with a friend who has the same car and still did not work so I know its not the switch. Any help appreciated. Thanks Peter

Brand New, worked fine when I first installed then had to do some other stuff on car a few months later. Battery is always on trickle charge when car not being used.

What was the "other stuff" you did to the car?

Hi Peter

It does sound like the window motor and regulator are working because if not, the glass would not go up or down when the power roof is activated.

My thoughts are:

So with the information you have given all does point to a switch problem. Can you put your switch on your friends car to double check it in that way?

If not, it's door panel off and check the switch is getting power and if that power is getting to the window regulator motor.

Good luck, Anthony

I am a complete novice so forgive me if I am going down the wrong street with this, but I thought I read somewhere that after changing the Battery you might need to reset the code for the windows switch.

Apologies if I am on another planet with this.

That's correct, it might need the reset procedure after the Battery has been disconnected but it relates to the one-touch auto feature.  Operate the windows up and down a couple of times and hold the switch up for an extra second on each window and that should restore it. Similar thing with resetting the memory seat function. All the way back and fore with the seat and back rest switches and that should restore the memory function.

Well finally got door panel off tried reset procedure nothing changed. Just to recap drivers window switch will go down but not up. Taken switch apart cannot see any broken bits checked all cables going back to door ECU all fine. Just one question I have do the window buttons have any springs in them to move the white pegs up and down to make contact on the circuit board? I could not see any and was wondering if something was missing. Door panel currently off car on drive 😞
