Breaking in your new Lexus
To extend the life of the vehicle, observing the following precautions is recommended:

For the first 186 miles (300 km):

  • Avoid sudden stops.

For the first 621 miles (1000 km):

  • Do not drive at extremely high speeds.
  • Avoid sudden acceleration.
  • Do not drive continuously in low gears.
  • Do not drive at a constant speed for extended periods.

I take it you have not see them driven onto / off the ships into the parking areas & then onto a dealer ?

This video makes sense and it follows BMW advice/instruction on new M5 and M3 engines.

Damn....should've asked here instead of listening to the dealership. They told me, just drive and the car will adjust.

No turning back now, already driven 2750+ miles in 3 weeks.

Mine is 6.5 years old and 11K miles, i am still running it in, do you think i can use 3 gear now or should i wait another few more miles.
