Looking elsewhere on t'Internet, the Landau appears to be from 1994 not 1985.

Taken from Ward's Auto World, April 1994:-

"European styling studios also showed a few concepts. The Lexus Landau is a "high-performance 5-door, 2-box, luxury compact saloon," says Giorgio Giugiaro, head of ItalDesign SrL. The show-piece is built from a Lexus GS 300 platform shortened by as much as 23.6 ins. (60 cm) but with the same 109-in. (278-cm) wheelbase. Under the hood is a Lexus V-8 coupled with a permanent 4-wheel-drive transmission. Toyota provided ItalDesign with the running chassis, but says it has no plans to produce the model."
