Tom Tom Europe Maps

Im thinking of investing in the maps of europe for my pda with

tom tom 3.

Has anyone on here used them, and does it work ok ?

I have used them in Holland & Germany, spot on everywhere.

Tomtom 5 is due out in May, it may be worth comparing the current with new version etc.

It looks fantastic with alot of great new features including built-in support for FULL UK postcodes and road names in 3D and many more!

use it all the time german map so has been ok but not too impressed with the swiss map TBH, quite a lot of mistakes eg roads that are not there, telling u to turn right when on the slip road ( which is impossible) also telling me that the address is 7km away when i am actually at the address (correct address entered) gave me the correct position when i turned it on/off a few times tho.

cant find any prices for TT5 as yet but it will be a free upgrade for users running TT3 but i doubt the updated maps will be the free.

u can however get TT3 now easily and cheaply if not for free if u know where

this may seem a silly question but the maps take up a lot of memory.

i have a 256 mb card with TTN 3 and major routes of europe on it

do i need to get a bigger card and reload it all on to the new card or can i

just load the new maps onto a seperate card ?

or can i remove major routes of europe when i get the new maps ?

the upgrade program for TOM TOM 5 starts in may

u can load new maps onto a seperate card if u want or u can delete major roads of europe and put a new map in its place or if u know which area u will bbe in just load a 16,32 or 64 mb piece of the map.

on the card u only have the maps not the actual TTN
