Election Time

A vote is important because not only did millions die so that we could but, it is the only legal way you get to teach these lying two faced opportunists we call a government, a very harsh lesson.

I agree that everyone should vote because it is a right awarded you by others who fought hard and/or died to give you the right. It is the only chance you have to change the country...........BUT if Bush can get away with rigging a vote in a place as big as America and this to be common knowledge it makes you wonder what the sums really add up to....

If you don't vote its almost as good for Labour as an actual Labour vote.....

as Tdi already mentioned

"The problem Gentlemen, is that there is no credable aternative to the chancers and vermin who have presented themselves this time around."

everyone thought blair was a credible alternative with his labour party last election and some ppl that voted for him are regretting it so who shall i vote for?

whoever i vote for we are gonna get ****ted on sooner or later by them in one way or another, so dont tell me to pay attention, and less of the stereo typical "all youngsters watch MTV and dnt know about anything else" bullsh.it

how about we all,and by all i mean those that dnt normally vote or dnt no who to vote for go into the ballet box and sign the paper without ticking any electable parties? no one is elcted and a new party would have to be created or the whole country is pushed into uproar? maybe that would be better and u can sleep at nite knowing we went to vote

sorry if anyones offended, didnt mean to offend anyone including u mr morse but had to say what i said

and just because i dnt vote doesnt mean to say i cant criticise them, maybe if i couldnt criticise all electable parties i would go and vote

Mr Morse is quite right in that we do owe our forefathers and we should all vote, but I do not believe that there is anyone currently currently standing for election that shares my values or deserves my vote.

The party that is closest to my values is BNP but of course they have an undesirable side to them too, and I do not expect them to be capable of running the running the country.

I think Labour have made a big mistake by retaining Blair. If they got Gordon Brown in as leader, they could effectively wipe the slate clean and easily get relected as there is no credible alternative.

problem is that its like you are voting for :

a ) loose a finger

b ) loose a toe

or c ) loose an ear

dont actually want to vote for any of them, so you try and pick the least damaging one

The British National Party exists to secure a future for the indigenous peoples of these islands in the North Atlantic which have been our homeland for millennia. We use the term indigenous to describe the people whose ancestors were the earliest settlers here after the last great Ice Age and which have been complemented by the historic migrations from mainland Europe. The migrations of the Celts, Anglo-Saxons, Danes, Norse and closely related kindred peoples have been, over the past few thousands years, instrumental in defining the character of our family of nations.

While we recognise the United Kingdom as a political entity, the BNP does not arrogantly seek to impose one set of Westminster dominated decisions across these nations. We embrace and cherish the native cultural diversity within the British Isles and wish to extend the concept of democracy to the lowest possible level, where those that are affected by a decision are the ones who influence and make the decision.

Political battle

The struggle to secure our future is being waged on many fronts. The need for political power is crucial to bring about our goals. Without effective political representation the majority of Britons, who are deeply concerned about the future, have no voice in the chambers where decisions are made. Increasingly numbers of voters are expressing apathy and discontent with the endless incompetence, lies, false promises and sleaze coming from the three parties that make up the Old Gang. The BNP will contest and win elections at council, parliamentary, Assembly or European level in order to achieve political power to bring about the changes needed.

Torch bearers of culture

The rich legacy of tradition, legend, myth and very real wealth of landscape and man-made structures is one of our island's richest treasures. The men and women of the British National Party are motivated by love and admiration of the outpouring of culture, art, literature and the pattern of living through the ages that has left its mark on our very landscape. We value the folkways and customs which have been passed down through countless generations. We enthuse with pride at the marvels of architecture and engineering that have been completed on these islands since the construction of the great megaliths 7,000 years ago.

Liberties

Above and beyond our activities in the political world, we daily work with our people in their homes and communities addressing the fundamental issues of civil liberties and reverse discrimination. Increasingly our people are facing denial of service provision, failure to secure business contracts as well as poor job prospects as both reverse discrimination excludes our people from the school room, workplace and boardroom. A key role of the British National Party is to provide legal advice and support to victims of repression and those denied their fundamental civil rights.

good values !!

as long as you are english and white

how any one can even think of supporting a party with racialist overtones is beyond me

we might just have well let hitler win

I was always told by my peers, the two things you never discuss in public are politics and religion.

But deep discussions are fun as long as you don't take it personally. Nothing like mulling over things together late at night with a drink.

Quite right Bazza. That's what I meant by "the undesirable sde".

The BNP are very attractive to people wishing to return to the time when you could be proud of being British, but unfortunately they also attracts racists and are probably incapable of running a country.

On the subject of politics & governence think of the TV "Yes Minister".

Thats how it is in my view.

two ways to make it better (both impractible or not desirable)

Benevolent dictator (no bowing to interest groups/civil servants)

Or referendums on major issues so "we" decide ( EU constitution etc)

biggest problem in the UK is lack of a written constitution......reliance on convention etc

anyway..............thats my 50p worth
