The Supra TT with the iMac was sponsered by us, meaning my company (www.bladeice.com). That was afaik the first mini mac in a car in the UK....

They have a contact in the US who make a very good power supply with timer based off your ignition, sleep mode the lot.

I actually do a windows based touch screen version of the same design, together with gps, 5.1 surround sound through the car speakers etc etc. Also use OBD-II equipment to take readings from the engine, including 1/4 miles stats, error messages and other statistics whilst driving.

Anyone know if the lexus is200 is OBD-II compatible? Can't find info anywhere on it.

Have a look at

for another in car kit.... this site has lots of the power supplies which shut down gracefully when the ignition is cut!
