Is 250 Ordered

New member , so be easy on me !

Just bit the bullet and ordered a new IS250 for delivery 18/11/05 ish

i have a audi TT at the moment (i was going to buy a is200 ,3 years ago but when i went into the dealer they gave me the impresion that they thought i could not afford one ,so i bought the TT instead and paid more for it

i went back to the same dealer about a month ago and was still not overly kean on the response i got so, i have now ordered the car from another dealer who obviously wanted the business

anyway looking forward to the lexus experiance in a couple of months :D

Welcome to LOC, bet you're looking forward to the car arriving, to be honest I'd be petrified of ordering a car without a test drive just in case it's a bag of spanners, but some of the reviews are coming in good!

I'm looking forward to hearing all the reports on here when everyone gets the new model!!

i find it hard to believe anyone can order a car without ever seeing one, let alone driving one

as i found out today, the colours in the brochure are not the best representation of what the car actually looks like

but anyway.... welcome l3unt and make yourself at home :D

So what sort of spec have you gone for? thats one of the main points people make, when you spec them up with toys the price creeps up near £30k

seem to be having problems posting so forgive my cockups

i ordered the car without test driving etc because my TT is due back of lease on the 01/11/05

i tried to sort out a 3-6 month contract on another car to give me time to test the is250 but the companies i deal with all wanted to rent me a car on a daily basis which would have cost £££

so as i know lexus would not be bringing the is250 out without it being a great car i thought i would order one !

i have ordered the 250 in argento ice with the multimedia package and black interior

went to the bolton dealership :tsktsk:

bought the car from leeds :D

also i bought the TT without testing that either

I'm also considering ordering the IS 250 or 220d (which one has the automatic ? )

And jsut been making a few calls to Leicester, and Edgeware road. Anyone have any good/deal experiences with other dealers for ordering the IS 250?

Auto is an option on the 250 only - pity cos I like the idea of a 220d auto.

surprised bolton didnt think you could afford one, they were great when I bought my IS, and I wa part exing a knackerred corsa! they have been very keen to sell me the new IS of late though.

anyway, welcome to the club mate, look forward to seeing your new IS and hearing your thoughts on it when it arrives.

Auto is an option on the 250 only - pity cos I like the idea of a  220d auto.

It is a shame, I am after a diesel next, but having got used to my Auto box in the current IS, am not going back to manual - never ever!

After talking to paul at leceister, I'm going to settle on a nice black IS250 SE with the multimedia package and auto (seeing as the SE-L version has just added rain sensors, option to have anti collision and a better interior wood trim! all for 2 extra smackers)

Apparently, Lexus GB are goign to let the dealers have a run of the IS250 around the track aroudn oct 8-10, so pitch yrou question to the dealers then
