Mileage

Hey all,

ive been scouting around on here for a while now and i know you guys are really helpful. as of yet ive not got an IS200 but hopefully should be a proud owner in a week or 2.

i was just wondering how many miles are well looked after cars good for. As im only able to afford high milage cars say 80k plus.

im just curious as i dont want it to pack up on me after a few thousand k's.

Im sure they will go on forever (dad has an LS400 with 165k on clock) being a lexus but i thought id just ask for your guys opinons.

Thanks

As long as the car has a full documented service history, it will go on and on. An 80k enigine hasn't even broken in yet!

Depending on your budget I'd get an IS which has done 80, 90 even 100K- let someone else take the deprication hit. If your looking at an IS which has done 90-100k +, make sure the timing belt has been changed.
