Is200 Turbo Australia?

Yeah hi guys, I dont know if im posting in the right spot or not as being new.

But being from Perth in Australia im looking for a dealer or someone who knows a good place to buy turbo kits in australia. So far ive browsed google, talked to friends and no one can help.

Most of the people that I have called dont cater for lexus.

Anyhow...if anyone knows or has any idea, please post!!

im starting to get desperate..i dont know how long i can hold out without turbo hahaha

hey man ... im in hk.... but i think it will be extremely difficult for you to find a Turbo kit for the IS ... and even more difficult finding a shop that has installed a turbo on the IS. If you want forced induction, the easiest way is the supercharger from TTE.

dont mean to rain on ur parade, but i've been lookin very hard for ways to mod the IS200 in apac ... and suffice to say its like finding a needle in a hay stack. the apac market just doesnt have enuff demand for things to be developed, since the tezzas direct from japan is more popular amongst the enthusiasts.

There is another guy who joined on here recently who has a turbo fitted to his IS200 who is from Australia.

You could send him a PM and ask where he had his kit fitted. I'll have a look for his username :)

This is the same car so both ad77 and gs were on the same track..

There is a few people in sydney that would do the work that I know of but she is on the other side of the island..

Any DECENT workshop would be able to do the conversion..

"Obsessed" actually built the motor, so your best to shoot him a PM and im sure he will fill you in...

Brett/Obsessed's engine has forged internals and much other tricky bits. Not sure about head work. Big injectors. Brett can fill in the rest!

Ray Hall Turbocharging are 'famous' in Oz for the 2JZGTE conversion they performed on an IS200, however AVO in Melbourne did one of the first turbo install on an IS200 Auto in Australia (Eric, TRD328 on our forums http://forum.altezzaclub.org.au) and have alot of experience with custom turbo setups on Japanese cars (eg. the Mazda MX5). We have ID'd one more IS200 turbo in VIC which recently appeared at this years Summernats. Then there is Brett's beast, which is having a transplant at the moment i believe (he is usually fairly tight-lipped on these details, at least until it's all sorted, right Brett? :D) In fact. from what we have been able to tell so far, there are more converted 1J and 2J Altezza's in Australia than there are custom turbo's.

Hopefully, with the injection of some lovely Prolex kits later in the year, we should see some more custom turbo IS200's running around!

We are currently running a group buy through Prolex on our forums for their much talked about IS200 turbo kit. If we get enough people in on the group buy, expect the cost plus install to come in around the same as 4ACES efforts, possibly less. All depends upon how many people we get in on the group buy, and where you have it installed.
