Avg 7.1 Anti Virus

anyone use this AVG 7.1 Anti Virus program? its better than Norton? does it have free updates or have to pay like Norton? any informations will be helpful...

Been using AVG free for about 18 months now, no problems whatsoever. All updates are free, usually updates the virus definitions once or twice a week.

Not really used Norton as heard a few bad things about it, especially when wanting to uninstall it.

not really found a need to have to buy any AV software.

:) been using free AVG now for about 2yr no probs at all, updates for free automatically every other day I think. I think you can alter settings on too for the updates

I been using AVG free for a long time too, about 4 years.

I am on cable and have it set to check for up-dates every morning and to do a full scan of the PC. No probs so far.

Same here. Been using AVG for years on several machines, have it set to auto-update in the early hours every single day and have never had a virus since installing it and never had a problem with it. Highly recommended.

Compare this with Norton which I have to use on a server of mine and I've had a number of problems to the point where I've disabled most of the functions - I've never quite understood why Norton is so popular.
