well would you belive it.

at 70mph, for 4 hours, at approx 3000rpm, the car returned a impressive 412 miles to a full tank!!!

thats way better than it was as a 2 litre supercharged.

so there you go, it pays to get the supra conversion

drove well actually, really stable, the prop vibration got a tad annoying, but nothing that turning up the radio didnt stop.

i think tha fastest i went was 100mph..........wow

but taking it all in stages.

TTE were very impressed, as were every BMW and bleeding Mercedes on the way back........

got cought in snow on the way back.fab, not!!

the 180mph speedo was a bit of a pain to set up and calibrate, resulting in us ending up using my original speedo and re-soldering the contacts and electronic pack to it, and reverting the converted speedo back to normal, which is good, as it means i keep my original milage of 23,000 and not the other speedo's reading of 48,000

for a bit of a trip out today myself and one of the guys took a customers Porsche back to His workshop by the Nurburgring.......

a GT3.awsome car, and who was the owner of such a fine car...........

only the owner of this company

http://www.manthey-racing.de

the guy who builds the GT porsche's.................the workshops were out of this world

A little off topic I know, but as the engine is basically the same as the Monster I thought some of you may be interested to know that we finished mapping our 3.2 Supra yesterday that ended up with 800hp at 6500 rpm and 820 lbs/ft at 4250rpm (enough to pull a house down). We were well pleased with that as it was set to a relatively low boost pressure of 1.7 bar.

We are doing the mapping of our 3.4 litre Supra next week. That's going to be interesting :D

Jesus Mark that's mad - what sort of differences in terms of mods were there between this 3.2 Supra and the Monster - what sort of boost pressure are you expecting in there when she's fully done? Just wondering if Mat's expected figures should be upped at all?

I definitely bought the wrong car for modding - what's leg room like in these Supra's ;)

Hi Aido, long time no speak. The Monster has standard engine internals at the moment so we will probably stay at around 1.4 bar for safety reasons. Some guys run 1.6 bar on the standard engine but I don't think I would sleep at night if it was my car  .

The guys at Abbey Motorsport were telling me about a guy that bought a load of kit from a "Supra Specialist" in the US, who told him to run 2.1 bar with his standard engine (against Abbey's advise). Three power runs later the car is going home on a trailer and the engine (what parts of it the could find) was going home as a box of broken bits :crying:

The Supra is one if the toughest cars that you can buy and is rediculously cheap to tune. My car was the 1st powerfull Supra in the UK. It was running 650hp at 1.4 bar and that was back in 1997 before anyone else was tuning them. Oh yes, there's plenty of leg room.

Mark
