i just came back from Germany today, i thought i would try some Different dampening settings on the front coilovers(D2). as i was adjusting the drivers side dampening a clear oil-like fluid started coming out of the top of the coilover from the hole where you stick the tool that adjusts the dampening is this normal? OR does it mean my coilver is kaputt? Im going back to the place i bought them from on Monday to get them checked out.

Hi,

Sounds like one of the seals have gone, careful well driving the car,the handling could be inconsistent.

Is it expensive to get these seals fixed? Would that type of thing be covered under warranty? Still another 9 months left on the warranty

[Getting more sheepish] so they're just like suspension stuff then? lol :blush::unsure:

There just a type of spring/damper conbination where you can adjust the height of the car by turning a couple of bolts at the bottom,

and some you can also adjust the dampness (how hard or soft the ride is) by turning a little knob on top.

Cheers guys just rang the supplier there again today and he "said" he was still waiting back on an email from D2. Hope this doesn't drag out too long. Ideally it takes him too long to get them and he will replace them with a set of something more reliable(Teins :whistling: )
