I Am A Complete ......!

Well it is official i am the biggest :tsktsk: in the world!!!!

I worked for my sister on Sunday at Holdenby in Northampton, finished about 7 and had to drive home. I came out of the event turned the sat nav on and proceeded down the road.

The sat nav kicked in and it said turn left straight away so i missed the turning. I thought "not a problem" i'll just turn round at the next turn off and go back (I could have just carried on and took the next turn off but no!). So i was driving along and saw i little mud track going off the road so thought i'd turn off and spin round.

I pulled in and immediately thought "this is going to be tight" but thought it'll be ok. So i started to turn round taking my time and being careful. Just nudging some bushes i was almost round and away. I did my final reverse and got ready to full lock it and drive away but i slipped and rolled back into a small tree. I then started to shout very loudly :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: and :tsktsk: !!!

Looked at the boot and no damage so thought i'd escaped untouched but on the rear right hand side i've put dent in the bodywork. It's not a big dent but a dent none the less. It's one of those things that could have been avoided so easily and you kick your self as it's 100% human error. I'll try and get some pics up later.

Sorry to hear it mate, know it must be well annoying if you think it was avoidable, but as Maneesh says, it's happened now, no point getting worked up about it - just get it fixed asap and forget about it completely!

That really sucks Lucy. The pain gets easier over time. I remember when I had my lovely brand new Celica and within a few weeks I accidentally ran over a crowbar after a horrible shift at work. I'd been dumped by my girlfriend, snapped at my colleagues, attended a child who fell out of window and died and on the way home put a huge dent in the side of my car. That rates as one of my worst days ever. I look back now and laugh about it (not about the child though, that was horrific) so it gets easier. Now go and apologise to your car.....! :)

Crikey, you've really reduced this topic to a heart wrenching tale of woe, depression and misery - yet I see no light at the end of the tunnel :o

Truly sounds like a day from Hell, especially denting your car as well.

J

Welcome to my world!

mine needs a brand new bonnet + a bumper respray after what I shall call

"an incident" on sunday morning @ 3.20am on way back from gig.

Cant say too much due to the Old Bill checking cctv footage for

the :tsktsk: that caused it etc. Totally gutted, but it could have

been far far worse on a personal level, at least I ain't injured (& could have been badly).
