I Crashed My Lexus....

Recommended Posts

It was a nice saturday morning, i was driving back home with my mate on my IS200. for somehow reason i didnt manage to see the T-junction ahead then went off the road straightly and hit a wall, with aproximately 40mph.. :crybaby:

the front bumper was damaged quite badly, but the best part of the story was my mate and I wasn't hurt in anyway.

I am now calling lexus coventry for repairing the car, anyone got any idea how much it will cost for replacing a new front bumper and some proper body work?

and btw, does lexus coventry give gold membership discount?

many thanks.

simon.

Huge bill I would expect m8, depends how deep your pockets are. I'd expect Lexus to replace all the parts with brand new ones which tend to be very expensive and then you have to add labour etc on top, depends on how damage is done though..

thanks for all replies

i took my car to a lexus approved garage today, their guy told me that from what he could see, im looking for at least 600 quid. and he will carry out a further estimation on this Wed.

the even worse news is the bloody tesco insurance disapproved my claim, coz im using hongkong licence and didn't tell them when i bought the insurance online. i tried to argue with them but it seems pointless.

sorry i didn't take any pic after the acident, i just feel very bad when i look at it..

£600 sounds very cheap to me & if it was that I'd prob try an not do it through insurance anyway, as it would go up by more than that I bet & of course you have to pay your excess but I also don't know how much yours is...

When I had my accident alot of the suspension parts where damaged an the costs were about 5.5k :( hope you get it sorted, main thing is your both ok

Wow, that is a big time oversight. Surely you could not have missed the question asking if you possess a full UK driving license and how long for? I agree it would be pointless arguing with them and count yourself lucky you are not being done for driving without insurance. Must admit, £600 seems a lucky escape if that's all it cost. So the airbags didn't deploy?
