New To A Soarer With Problems

Right i see this forum is pretty dead but i need help so here goes

i have bought a 93 soarer and there are a few problems!! To clarify it is a jap spec 2.5tt

Firstly the fuel guage does not seem to work at all, it flashes for a min or so after starting then shows compleatly empty with the yellow (ish) refil light on. So far i've found info on this been a problem on v8's but that may not help me

secondly my speedo is in kph i understand there is a converter i can get but need a source? and any advice?

thirdly (last for now!) my sterio! i've not yet got the band width extender but i'm getting so much feed back through the sterio its un-real. dont want to get bandwidth extender if i;m going to get same result! it is as if i can here the engine reving but mor electrical

Looks like the fuel gauge is a common problem and it could be the sender unit requiring cleaning

Speedo conversions can be done DIY if you are confident

Poor radio performance is normally due to bad earthing on the radio or the aerial so check all connections.

The frequency changers are on eBay for around £8.00 but if you want to get full UK coverage on FM you need the 18 Mhz one this will give you 88-108 Mhz ( UK spec)
