Over 100k

buying another is200, for my price range most of the cars are between 90-110,000miles just wondering wot is the relibility of the engines, if properly maintained should last for ever ye

yeah they'll be reliable for years.

If you buying in that range make sure its already had its cam belt changed.

ye six years old or 100,000k, fella said it had a cambelt change at 60 or 70, it has 106 now, sai last guy who owned it said it was done then

Im pretty sure the manual says it should be replaced every 10k after its 1st replacement. That could probly be stretched to 20k but for the 'relatively' cheap price to replace the belt, its alot cheaper than replacing/rebuilding an engine!

Why ? if you are using all 3 lexus genuine parts at the change, then you will be ok until the next change is due :D

I have never heard that about changing it every 10k after you've changed it once. If the original change isnt until 60-100k why is it then rapidly reduced to 10k?

Got the car check online, checks out ok, the car is in NI and the registration starts with FD jus wondering where this is in the uk because its not a ni car

I did read it wrong! Its the drive belts that are replaced on 60k, then every 10k after that.

Timing belt is every 100k

the cam belt is every 60k not 100k, just do a search about this as it has been covered 100000000 times before :P

If the cam belt has been changed already, normally a sticker is placed on the

front engine cover to tell you when it was done. If in doubt get it checked.

Depends on the model year of the car, those figures came straight out of my service book.

the figures were changed- all is200's are at 60K or 6 years - it used to be 100k or 6 years but belts were found to be wearing so the interval was reduced
