Like everything else with this car-owner hating Government, the Parker guide makes no sense. There is reference to cars registered before 2001. Then there are rates for cars registered from 1st-23rd April 2006, and separately, later (after 23/4/06). What about a car registered in March 06?

If the car was converted the same rules apply as if it was still petrol,as that is what would be on the V5.

just 3 months ago in jan 08 i paid 135 for 6 months for my 250. now its 220?? WTF!!

If the new GS 300 was 8gm lower on emissions it would only be £210 p.a.---£190 extra for 8gm!!!!!

don't you get a new V5 if you tell the DVLA that it is converted to gas?

Even with new V5 the petrol emissions wouldn't go down.The fact remains that the car still runs on petrol and still attracts same rate of tax.
