Handbrake Light Stays On ?

can anyone help my is200 handbrake light stays on could it be the switch or has anyone had this prob before

check your break light bulbs,its usually the case well it was with mine

It def is one of your brake lights will be out. Start with the high brake light, thats normally the culprit.

To change it, push the shelf down and pop the brake light up.

Is it that easy! I took my seats, pillars and shelf out!

Should have though really shouldn't I!

Hello everyone! Didn't want to start a new thread so thought i'd post here!

I now have this problem which has just started a few days ago!

Hanbrake light stays on all the time, well most of the time. I've checked all the bulbs and all are working fine?

What else could it be? Anything to do with brake pad wear etc?

It is due for service and MoT next month so don't really want to fork out.

check you brake fluid level m8 it might be low

I'll have to have a check on that then! Strange as i don't really use it that much, only done 4k in last year!

I think that another reason for the light staying on is if your brake pads are low. There are quite a few things that can keep this light on, as you can see.

The brake pads havent got sensors on them to tell you they are low, the brake fluid level will drop as they wear, causing the warning light to come on.
