Snow Button

Nope, makes no difference at all in terms of wear on the engine or gearbox. All the snow button does is make the throttle pedal less sensitive to make it easier to pull away in slippery conditions...............

Technically it can help, basically the computers are making you drive with a lighter right foot instead of doing it yourself............ :P

deffo useful on long motorways runs at increasing mpg IMO especially with the cruise control on :winky:

How does that help when cruise control is on?

Your going at a consistent speed where you are not using the accelerator, and if you are in high enough gear, going at a reasonable speed, then you should be getting a good MPG any way.

The other difference I've noticed on my manual IS200 is that there is less engine noise with the snow button pressed so more relaxed cruising.

If you ever get chance to go above 70 (say in Germany!) the engine can get quite noticeable, but press the snow button and it runs quieter.
