The time has come to move on - and get a diesel E220

I picked this up today :winky: and I'm loving it it

So what do you think......

yeah right lads,

it's my courtesy car, coz somebody backed into the side of mine while i was driving pass them.

The old boy never saw me....black car in the sunshine with tunez playing...er....

here you go.....

yeah i know...you can't see much

and here's what hit me.....look at the toe hook

Not a bad courtesy car though, is that what you got from the bodyshop or is it using one of those accident management people?

don't mind them keeping the Lex and long as it's good job they do and for the corsa, i'd rather catch a bus.....

Na, wasn't going to fast, slow speeds at a set of traffic lights

i'm with Sky Insurance and i have to say they've done a Bang up job so far....

L2D, i tought i was going to get a hear full from...lol

How are you finding the Merc?

It it lags on pick up (auto) even in S mode and drink alot

it's not as comfy

There load of room in it

not heated seats (wifey moaning) leathers

i can get seating right (low down and leaning back) coz all the arm rest is to high

and the things you put stuff in is all lame and the glove box is small

other wise it's fine for long trips and not round town

Is it one of Sky Insurances own bodyshops or one of your choice? I had damage to my car while it was parked recently and i'm with Sky insurance also but not sure where i stand? Anyway thats for a different topic!!

Nope not going to get a merc, they comman and every Indian as one... i turn up at a wedding i'm going to look like every other p....person

sky the brooker so i had to get in touch with the chaucer coz that where my policy is. they got drive assist to sort out the hire/curty car.

i to tought i was going to get a micra or somthing but coz i'm not at fault (i hope) might be the reason i got a nicer car

i had 1/3 of tank yesterday at 4:00 and this morning i looked it told me to fill up so yeah i'm putting it through it's pace

going out at lunch with some work mate.... :)

Gonna stand out a bit here I think, but I quite like the E-Class Mercs. Had a ride in one yesterday from the office to the airport which was nice - proper dark windows limo-style one!!

But then I suppose the GS is pretty similar really, my GS430 is much more of a contender to an E420 than a BMW 540i.
