A friend's mum has been on the website, put in her details, an offer came back of £1400. Parkers value the car at £1540.

As always, if the offer from 'We will buy' seems too good to be true, it usually is. Is there a Catch.

Haven't dealt with them but I was going to say there a strong risk of exactly what all those reviews say - that sort of company will always try and pay the minimum price possible, it exists to take advantage of people who are desperate for a quick sale.

Yep- they exist for people who are desparate to sell their car (to pay debts etc).

yes iv dealt with them, well not me personally, i was with a friend who sold his car to them... he sold his 1999 golf which had a market value of 1000 according to parkers and other golfs of the same age and spec on autotrader. his initial quote on the internet was 850, however when he got there the car was scrutanised and just for a scratch on the bonnet and missing some service history they offered 420..... awful that is..

just the other day just out of curiousity i got a quote for my is200 on the internet, 2001, 37k on the clock and full dealer history with not even a scratch on it, they offered 2500. :o so i think they are best avoided if you can.
