Sat Nav

If you can get all the bits for the oem sat-nav, ie. computer, screen, and remote control. I can't see why you can't install it yourself provided that you're willing to manufacture a wiring loom to tie all the bits together. A costly venture but if you think it's worth it then go for it.

What a lot of people have done, including myself, is taken the oem screen housing, removed the screen and fitted their own portable sat-nav units.

Run a search, i'm pretty sure there's a good tutorial explaing how to do this.

I don't know about the wheels mate, I'm sure someone else can shed some light on that. Any idea of the offset? It needs to be within a certain value to fit the is200.

I think it's a real pain without a full wiring loom from a car with satnav, and even then it would be a big job. Best option would either be to replace the headunit, or buy the OEM motorised housing but put an aftermarket satnav screen in there which would look OEM but be simpler to install and give you the benefit of a more up to date navigation system.

Hi can i fit a built in sat nav even though my motor never came with it origanly as ive seen a head unit on ebay, plus will 19" alloys fit on my is200 w plate ok, thanks for looking

I had oem sat nav fitted to my last lexus and I had to remove all the interior, the full front dashboards and the all the boot interior in order to get to the wiring loom which needs to be replaced.

BIG job took four days but worth it in the end. I wouldnt do it again though and dont recommend it, better getting a TOM TOM, at least you get to keep it if you sell the car :winky:

Wow just as massive a job as I'd expected - didn't actually realise the whole dash had to come out :o

Better still just fit a Kenwood or similar replacement headunit in place of the standard unit and get better functionality coupled with quite a cool mod :)
