I wonder how many of us would pass if we took a test today?

A lot of us won't admit it but we pick up a lot of bad habits over the years... I mean who engages neutral and pulls the handbrake up at a red light every time? I sit in gear with my foot on the brake most of the time. That's just 1 example....

A lot of us won't admit it but we pick up a lot of bad habits over the years... I mean who engages neutral and pulls the handbrake up at a red light every time? I sit in gear with my foot on the brake most of the time. That's just 1 example....

I passed my test when I had to stick my hand out of the window to indicate a right turn, left turn or slowing down. It didn't matter what the weather was doing either. We then moved on to the little amber arms that came out of the door pillar!!! I think that I paid 10/6d to take my test (52.5p in todays money. I remember quite clearly that I stalled the car when making a right turn on the Alum Rock Road in Birmingham but, I must have done everything right as I managed to pass first time!

With the new hazard perception test, the theory and the driving test, I fear I'd fail without another couple of lessons.

When I moved to the UK I took my test again as you lot drive on the wrong side of the road. Everything went fine until I made the stupid mistake of crossing a roundabout in third.....

I have lots of bad habits too, but one I can't do is keep foot on the brake at traffic lights for fear of blinding the people behind! I hate being blinded by brake lights especially the Audi LEDs so I always use the handbrake.
