Just in case anyone missed this one....don't like the wheels myself..also didnt know the LOC knows everyones mileage..but his claim is incorrect. Not a bad example ?

I agree the wheels look dreadful. Really spoil the overall look. I think he will be lucky to get that amount for it but you never know. Mike

I paid £3750.00 for my 1994 LS/Celsior with the same mileage but that was nearly 7 years ago, it was coincidentally purchased from Blackpool.

I've certainly not seen a post regarding his claim he checked with the LOC.

I paid £3750 Dec 2007 for my Mk2 M reg 94 LS400 with just 8572 miles too .................. what's it really worth with those dreadful wheels I wonder ?

£1500 maybe, the mileage is probably genuine but would need a cambelt change if it's not been done, so drop £500 off my suggested price for that perhaps.

Malc

Am I being too harsh ?

I agree, what dreadful wheels!

There's a nice black one being sold by a dealer with full Lexus history. Serviced by the same dealer since 2001. I'd be considering that if I was in the market.

No mention of service history either, wonder if it has the 3 keys present with one owner you would expect this and the full wallet of owner's manuals.

I messaged him last night asking for information regarding his Lexus Owners Club claim but have not as yet received a response.

He has now removed all reference to mileage/condition being verified by LOC..... that alone would make me wary of paying what he asks!! A very silly claim to have made knowing full well that cars like this attract the attention of genuine enthusiasts that more often than not talk to each other on forums like this....he may well have just put off the sort of people he had hoped to attract

Well whoever does buy it, if they have the misfortune to breakdown on the way home, they can always go back to the seller and buy his other item on sale.....

Sorry to change the subject slightly but I didnt want to start a new thread unnecessarily. What do you make of this one

Its been on and off for the last few months at a variety of prices. For me the interest is the year and colour being the same as mine. Mind you the very words "thinking of buying a car " sends swmbo into a rage.
