Power Boot Opening But Not Closing

Recommended Posts

Hello Fiona and welcome to the LOC.

I have to agree with Duncan, if it all worked before you took it in and the car is a 2012 model get it back to the dealer and ask them to sort it under the warranty.

It could be the dealer has at some point during the servicing taken the Battery connections off so it may just be the system needs resetting, the proceedure may be explained in your owner's handbook so take a look in there 1st, it may save you a trip back to Lexus which generally in Scotland is a good distance to travel.

When you do get it sorted could you come back with the solution as this may help members in the future.

You ought to phone them first. It may be something that they could help you reset over the phone.

Incidentally what do the three buttons do? - There is only one on the 400h!...

Scotland? I live in Essex and its 50 miles to my nearest dealer..........I wouldn't like to hazard a guess how far Fiona has to travel :eerrrmm:

Dan, there's a power button on key fob, on dash board and on the boot itself. None of which work.

Good idea to phone them. There used to be a Lexus garage in Aberdeen. Taken over by

Arnold Clark. Not sure but they may still work with Lexus?

Do you know if I have to get warranty issues done at garage I bought car from or any Lexus dealer?

Also, if you are going to phone, you can try one than one dealer if your nearest one is not particularly helpful.

Staff at Lexus Hedge End (Southampton) are always extremely helpful. I recommend that you speak with Dan in sales or Julie in the service department. If they can't answer your question, they'll go find out from you and get a techie to phone you back.
