It was the soft close doors that persuaded me it was a Lexus.

Do you have to wear gloves to open the doors on these chrome-mobiles for fear of leaving a stain.

Not my bag at all, but a brilliant statement of how to spend the too much money Theo undoubtedly has.

I assume they are properly dipped in a bath, or is there some other way of chroming a whole car.

Hi Peter,

Apparently its a film that is applied to the car & can take a week to apply, according to an advert.

As soon as I heard 'a week' I thought, the cost will be exorbitant.

But the advert did say that it can easily be removed.

So, if we ever see Theo's car, we could peel a few strips off. LoL

Strange thing is the windscreen and door trims which are sprayed black plus the wiper arms are actually chrome under the paint

I am gob smacked. What an amazing process. Still wouldn't do it to my Lexie but I am in awe of the way its done. It looked a better quality finish than that on Theos car.
