  1. As some of you may know , I had a 1996 LS400 great car Changed it for a 1998 jag xj8 4.0 great car Then a bmw 750il individual amazing car !! Then merc CL500 ,,,, worst car I ever owned ,,,, more breakdowns than I thought possible !, Now I've come back to Lexus Ahhhhh relax ,,,,, what was I ever thinking ( apart from the 750il ) Picked the LS up on Thursday ,,,, covered 350 miles , It amazes me !!! How can a car be so silent ? How can a car be so comfy ? How can a car have so many features / extras for so little money ? How can a car that cost me £4,100 get all these admiring looks ? How can a car make me want to look at it thru window of my house as much as I do ? Answers to all the above have one answer ,,,,,,,,,, it's a Lexus LS430 ! As you may guess ,,,,,,I'm absolutely over the moon with my car !

  2. And once again she has gone through with flying colours. No advisories 16,000 since the last MOT. She has cost me this year £275 for a full service including fitting new front brake pads. I know I had the windscreen replaced but I don't classify that as breakdown expenditure, it can happen to any car at any time. Here's to another year of smiley motoring, I love my Lexus. Mike.

  5. Eh? You been reading Tolkien? Actually, I wonder if he's selling the boat, it's exactly what I want for a bit of fishing, living by the sea and all.

  7. yep can relate to that - in 6 years of ownership - no fails and all clean passes apart from the last one where it was advised to get rear pads done (now done) and the headlight aim needed adjusting - MOT with the Lexus is a pain and worry free process - i just ring the local guy - he collects - MOT's and returns my car and collects around £45 quid - job done!

  8. Good post TigerFish. Thank you. In fact, I seem to recall that a lot of cars used to have amber coloured reversing lights as opposed to white ones (at least they did on the continent). They were changed to white to help others drivers realise that you were reversing... not to illuminate the road.
