  1. The LS400 also has an engine undercover and I find it takes more time to remove this than actually remove the oil and filter. I've also heard that some garages don't fully remove the engine cover they remove some of the fixing bolts and then bend it out of the way.

  2. Practical solution maybe: just pack it with bluetack or similar to hold it and to absorb any vibration ! Then if you do manage to get some brackets make the proper repair. Malc

  3. The battery meter looks ok to me, mine always hovered around 12-13v. The dash one is battery voltage not charge voltage. The rac tester could be at fault, if the alternator wasn't working the battery wouldn't be charged, also engine speed would drop as more electrical items are switched on, until it eventually cuts out. One of these is what i used, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Battery-Alternator-Tester-6v-12v-6-Volt-12-Volt-High-Load-/201081182614?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item2ed15f5996 If you need a replacement alternator let me know.

  4. Apparently no intakes or filters add any hp in isolation. The exhaust will free gas movement a bit as it is now a dual system with smaller back boxes and no silencer after the second cats. Bhp gain??? No idea. The rolling road day in August should allow is to see any differences as we will hopefully have isf that are stock, intake alone and intake and cat back system.

  5. 3 Vic Meldrews then. Come on boys, we all know that it is very easy to take something the wrong way when we are just reading something. Lets have a big Lexus hug and be good friends. Mike

  6. theres a nice mark 3 in Sutton Coldfield with 151k it looks so good in the pictures and very tempting would be great to buy and just spend the weekends polishing and tinkering with to make it perfect - its weird - the mark 3 and 4s have so much charisma - I feel like just polishing them and admiring them.......... sadly with the 430 ( which is a great car) I don't find the same attachment! right better take my medication now LOL!

  7. there a bit of an arse the first time you take them out, have a search and there is a guide but just a quick ref: undo bottom bumper bolts near the wheel arch ease the wheel arch liner back undo the two bolts holding the light behind the arch undo the two bolts on the top of the light pull out and off the last clip at the bottom of the light
