  1. Why is it I can remember every car I have ever owned in chronological order and yet I cant remember what I had for dinner last night !! Here we go Triumph 1300, MK3 Cortina GXL, Vauhall VX490, (What a rust bucket that was) Mk3 Cortina GT, Mk4 Cortina x 2, Rover 213, Sierra Sapphire, Cavalier, Celica, Escort van, Granada, Mondeo diesel (my one and only excursion into the devil's fuel, never again) Mondeo (with proper fuel) another Mondeo, SAAB 93. MGTF, Mercedes 350 SLK, Porsche Boxster S, Mondeo Titanium X Sport and now my new toy the Lexus. As you can see there has been a bit of brand loyalty going over the years with the blue badge boys, have to say though have never had a bad one. A quick pic below of my first true love complete with side pipes, louvered rear window, whiplash aerials, front and rear spoilers, ok it was the seventies and I was very young !!

  2. Hi Guys, Just a quick update, I went to see a couple of cars and liked a lot one from Lexus Coventry. After test drive and negotiation I'm a happy new owner of 2010 ISF, I'm going to pick it up on Sunday morning, I cannot wait!

  3. I'd contact Josh at Meraki Autoworks mate. May be able to bring it back for you on a business trip if that helps? Cheers. Peter

  5. Hi Andy and welcome to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over. We recommend you spend a couple of mins looking over the rules of the LOC, we will be asking questions later. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/terms-conditions/ Great looking car, I love that colour. Regards Mike

  6. If I could have either model and both were likely to be equally reliable I'd definitely have a 430 because the cabin seems a nicer place to be in - it's roomier, I think. But if old 430s were as reliable as 400s they would probably be more expensive than they are, which would rule them out anyway for some buyers. If you have a reliable 430 there's probably not much point changing to a 400, which will be at least five years older than your car. There are so few really good ones around these days (at sensible prices, that is).

  7. Found it PTR03-53100 but silly expensive from Lexus dealerships in the UK in my opinion considering what the difference actually is and other options available to you

  8. Hi Robbie I have it on my work PC which is off so cant even get in with Team Viewer at the moment, Lexus cant find it without the parts number and they can only supply it as a complete kit to the UK £650 or so it is. I will post the part number and quote from Carlisle Lexus tomorrow though There are much better options out there for that money I feel or you can buy it from the US with import duty and postage for about £300-350 Check out my build thread if you want to see an alternative to the F-Sport setup

  10. In my Owner's Manual, the info is on Pages 246 and 247.........Rear Pre-Crash Safety System: Whiplash Mitigation (pre-crash intelligent head restraint). Under 'Conditions' it states that the system will be triggered if a vehicle passes you too close at the rear. PFM!
