  3. aye, thatd be great chris. if its something i can fit myself then im gonna give it a go as dont see the point paying the bodyshop to do it.... cheers for the offer of the tape matey - could i get more from lexus then if needed??
  4. hey up matey, but where abouts in leicester you from?? I live in Thurnby Lodge ahh nice one mate. be good to see you at a midlands meet when we next have one matey. rob
  5. hey up matey, but where abouts in leicester you from??
  6. like this one rob?? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/...tegoryId_165632 or http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/air-con-cleaner.php
  7. lol, to be honest, we only arranged meeting last minute and considering how long it took to actually get round to meeting up i'm surprised they are not buried beneath some metal polishing gear B) @ chris s, you mention drilling 2 small holes.....presume that's one per side then matey??
  8. Ahh ok cheers chris and chris.lol. How dies that fitting kit duffer to just using whats on the car? What about securing the ends where the mudflaps would be?there's a small hole each side, but im not sure on hows best to attach it? I'll look on the bay 2moro for some of this trim tape-is it like poop to a blanket so no room for error?
  9. haha, yea he was saying it almost ended up in the compost heap after the top coat kept reacting with the primer or something along those lines... come out well though and much appreciate his time on it :) don't know exactly how the colour match is, but seemed pretty good when i held it up to the rear bumper - will know better when i've fitted it. not a biggy if its a little off as its only a small lip. eager to get it fitted and crack on with the front ;) :winky:
  10. how many opened this thread expecting something else?? anyhow, finally got round to picking my rear skirt up and must say a big thanks to chris (aztec) for having a damn good go at spraying it up for me. by all accounts it was a real PITA and without having my car to colour match it to it seems to have turned out really well so now i need to get round to fitting it....here are the inevitable questions.... i presume i'll have to remove the mudflaps on my IS to fit the rear skirt?? is that just the case of undoing a couple of bolts? how do i attach the skirt to the rear bumper?? on the skirt itself there are 2 attachment holes at the back and 1 on each side - am i right in thinking these just attach through the current holes attaching the bumper to the car?? can i just use the existing bolts that are there as i don't have any sort of 'fitting kit' with the skirt. There is one small hole on either side of the skirt where i presume it attaches to where the mudflap should be - just a case of screwing that in using one of the existing screws/bolts?? finally, will i need some sort of bonding tape to seal it flush with the bumper? if so, any reccomendations?? sorry for all the questions, but never fitted any body styling skirts etc so completely blind to it all and don't wanna pay a bodyshop to do it if it can be done easily by myself?? cheers in advance rob
  11. nice one patrik!! the s/c is what ur car needed!! a proper beast of a creation now mate!! i did wonder if it had something to do with the bypass cable..... glad u got it sorted matey rob
  12. hmm, agree with all the above regarding the KS FCD being the problem.... there couldn't be an issue withh the bypass cable not have enouggh/too much slack on it could there?? not sure it would cause these problems though???
  13. sorry to hear bou tthis chris. knew you've had a couplke issues in th epast but now you ahve more of a lead then its time to do summit about it... do u think its the same person that broke into ur sed a wile back?? i would certainly report the incident to the police as i belive they would have to at least speak with the chap about it....even if they can't convict him of anything?? maybe the scare of old bill turning up might make him think twice in future?? hope u get it sorted matey rob
  14. doubt'd you'll gget any power benefit, but as said, mightbe beter on hot days (if we ever get any, lol!!) BTW, pretty sure you're confusing the katana intercooler and a katayama strut brace....
  15. can't say fairer than that ^^^^ hats off to steve and the crew for the work they do - IMO, they sometimes don't get the recognition. this forum is the best i've visited/been a member of by some distance!! rob
  16. i see where your coming from bazza and what's done is done, but maybe a little less dicatatorial attitude is perhaps what is/was needed?? i think the reason this snowballed how it did is from responses you made that perhaps were out of character for yourself?? i dunno mate, you've always been a helpful chap and never really got into any sort of bickering that i recall anyway - and maybe its just how this thread has taken shape that's caused some responses from people?? you are the most active moderator on here, and im sure there's a lot of stuff done behind the scenes that people don't really appreciate or are unaware of. its a community after all and i guess the pack attitude makes individuals want answers (whether one thinks it concerns them or not), as i'm sure you appreciate how fond of wozza many are. i guess maybe the initial outburst of posts was the fact a lot of people were not even aware of his removal from mod status?? rightly or wrongly i think something like that should be made public knowledge, just like when a member is banned i have noted in the past that their ban is publicised in a thread. my 2p worth and i wholeheartedly agree that this thread has run its course. lets all try to get back to the friendly community that LOC strives itself on being ;) :)
  17. hey up wozza, long time matey. hope all gets better in your personal life mate - much more important than internet forums mate. chin up fella and be nice to have you back around these boards in due time mate. stuff's obviously cracked off behind the scenes so to speak - maybe we should all be privvy to it, maybe we shouldn't? it certainly shows how LOC cares for fellow members and I for one thought you were a good mod. But mod or not, your input was and will be invaluable mate. take care of yourself matey :) rob
  18. This is absolute bollocks, as someone who used to work in an oil refinery, I can tell you that the fuel you get at supermarket pumps is exactly the same as what you get if you were to fill up at BP, Shell, Esso, Texaco or any other for that matter. I used to work for BP and we used to get most supermarket tankers fill up at our terminal, plus Shell, Esso and other large manufacturers. They all buy fuel off each other and it's all the same. You could have a Sainsbury's tanker and BP tanker filling up at the same time, next to each other, same fuel, just a different label. For example, a Texaco tanker wouldn't fill up in West Wales at the Texaco refinery to travel to Essex to pump it into a Texaco fuel station, they would just buy it from BP in Essex and fill the pumps with that. It's all exactly the same, there is no such thing as supermarket grade fuel which you read about very often on forums. so on that basis the shell v-power is just the same as tesco 99 RON super then??
  19. yep, after market zorst/double decat/boost restrictor ring/fmic and your hitting 425-450horses :) suggested add-ons are injectors/walrbo fuel pump/boost controller. on the twin turbo i presume?? they all auto's them, or are some manuals?? only thing with supe's IMO is getting a nice example that hasn't been abused to hell and back.....but yeh, seen some absoloute beauties and they are VERY nice!!
  20. See here- comments on quality etc (1st post) that's similar, but not the thread i was thinking of.....l will try see if i can find it later.
  21. a member on here bought this kit IIRC and had a fair few problems with it in terms of fitting and the quality/colour match or something like that. can't remember who it was, but they ended up removing it from the car........
  22. one thing with the rear wing is that the styling line of the car (excuse my ignorance as cant remember what its called - but the contoured line that runs along the side of the car) is in the middle of the dent and might make a normal dent repair a little more tricky?? sure it wont be a prob for the pros though mate and hope u get it sorted with minimal expense. really :tsktsk: up. feel for ya matey. rob
  23. :o really sorry to see that mate - absoloutly disgusting!! i'd guess it was some drunken louts who were larking about for ****s and giggles!!! try some dent repair places for the rear wing as the paint doesnt appear to be broken so you may have a good chance of sorting it for minimum expense. hope you get it sorted matey rob
